Everything I Needed
Pros: If you want something cheap and surprisingly capable, yet still very portable, and light look no further. And theirs even a touchscreen! This laptop manages to keep pace with my kids casual online/offline games and habits. As well as my own productivity, and online habits. It does all of this with a surprising efficiency for its price.
Cons: The laptop has a bit of flex if mishandled. The design while light sacrificed the battery for weight it will only last 3-4 hours, with good use. I've noticed the fan while silent can make it's presence known in a rather quite room/environment. The fan profile is to aggressive I've observed no heat coming from this thing, yet the fan at 50%+ load makes a ramp to a noticeable sound. Again in a rather quite room otherwise it can drown out it's own "noise".
Overall Review: Those of you no convinced, well I believe it helps with windows 8 greatly in it's rather awkward navigation. The touchscreen performs rather well, it only really seems to misbehave because of the software.
Major Door Flaw
Pros: Amazing sleek modern design. Quiet, even with 5 fans (true they are be quiet! fans). Wonderful cord management options for a clean look when you're finished. I love the professional feel of the case.
Cons: The case is designed so that the direction the door opens can be switched, however, changing the position of the door reveled a major flaw. The plastic pegs that the screws attach to on the door are extremely thin, and very prone to breaking. If this happens, the only way to secure them is to drive them partially through the door. It is tragically ugly having a screw end protruding from the front of such a sleek case. Before resorting to this, I attempted to return the door to its original position. The exact same thing happened even though I was being extremely careful.
Overall Review: The plastic peg holding the door needs to be redesigned! It is way to easy to break, and either renders the door unusable or makes the screw stick out of the door.
After 3 of them I'm impressed
Pros: Took a signal from an average router and made the differences between no (or hardly any) reception to amazing or surprising reception.
Cons: Next day shipping with rush processing wasn't free.
Overall Review: I have 3 of these the first one was when we were borrowing my neighbors wifi, then we got the second with a new NIC . The difference between upstairs (plugged directly into the router) and down stairs (wifi) is NONE. Third one was for the kids computer when one of them broke the USB NIC, and we used an old PCI NIC. Well 40 feet away and through 3 walls and a brick fire place the antenna it had didn't cut it, this did! Very satisfied with this product!
Kids Computer
Pros: Amazing I got this for $90 to power the kids computer. It runs all the games my kids play better then thought! All the while using just the IGP, which saves power and therefore money in my pocket! AMD = Cheap bliss
Cons: The drivers. I think alot of ppl run into something like this more often then with Nvidia drivers. I acually had to do some research to get figure a few things the drivers kept driving me insane about.
Overall Review: The drivers for some reason constantly keep 2 displays up, even if you DO NOT have 2 displays in. The 2nd monitor I was using here was a HD T.V which was picky about which input to use from a computer. Every time it did so it assigned the T.V as the main display, but there was nothing showing. Unplug still thinks the T.V is there now I had to hunt and peck for display properties over and over and over. Still I figured it out, so now it's no big deal still headache!
