ASUS R9 200 Radeon R9 280X DirectX 11.2 R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Plug-in Card Video Card

Pros: When the card worked it worked very well, and stayed at about 40 - 45c under load, being of course cooled by liquid.

Cons: Let me count the ways I've been let down...
1. This card artifacts
2. RMA'd it to ASUS, ASUS sent it back to me saying it was fine...
3. This card artifacts... STILL!

These cards are nothing but a waste of time and money and any sensible person would see the reviews stating the same fact that these cards are by design bad, and artifact. I felt as though when talking with ASUS about the "Artifacting Problem" that this was news to them that this was happening! (HOW!) This has been a hassle pulling these cards in and out of my water cooled PC, and wasting the money on water blocks, for what is essentially now a brick.

The 7970's were better made than these cards, I feel as though ASUS is just pushing these cards out for Bitcoin miners, and giving the middle finger to the gamers.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this card!
Get an R9 290/290x or better!

Pros: When the card works, it can handle anything, and when you have two that are CrossFired, well let me just say I've never dropped below 60FPS on anything.

Cons: Alright, so I'm very concerned as I was getting artifacts in all of my games, while my computer is neither dusty, extremely hot, and I have the latest drivers I was baffled at why I was getting artifacts. My graphics cards both run at a cool 45c under load, but it seems that I might have found a solution. I had to unfortunately *underclock* my gpu's Memory Clock down too 1400MHz and my Core Clock down too 1000MHz, and upped my power limit to +5 through MSI afterburner.

Memory Clock 1600MHz < 1400MHz

Core Clock 1070MHz < 1000MHz

Power Limit 0 < +5

I wish I didn't have to do this, but it has been the only way in which I can game, and not be bothered by on screen anomalies.

Other Thoughts: I like the look of the cards and then run well, fans at 100% do seem to be quite load for their size, considering there are four of them running at 100% while gaming I think I can manage as long as they are keeping my PC cool.

ASUS VG248QE Black 24
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: - Great Screen Resolution: 144Hz, 80,000,000: 1, and 1Ms GTG
- Great Price (Got it it on sale)
- Screen Crosshairs
- Nice Solid Stand/ Color

Cons: - 1 HDMI Port
- 3D Capability With Only Nvidia

Other Thoughts: I would of liked for the front options to be back light with an LED so I can see what I'm pressing, and the Menu button layout is difficult at times. All-in-All ASUS has made another fine product, and customer happy.
