Worth it

AMD FX-6350 - FX-6000 Series Vishera 6-Core 3.9 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD6350FRHKBOX
AMD FX-6350 - FX-6000 Series Vishera 6-Core 3.9 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD6350FRHKBOX

Pros: Bang for buck. I bought this for a sub $1200(cad) build (First build yay!) and I haven't been disappointed yet. This cpu never seems to give me trouble. So far I've upgraded my psu, mobo, and soon will my gpu, but I feel this thing will be part of my pc for a while longer. The stock 3.9ghz is pretty good for today's gamer, but this baby can easily push past it. I run mine at 4.3ghz but have had it pushed to 4.5 without much tinkering. I'm sure someone who is overclock savvy could push this thing even farther. You won't have to sell an organ to pay for it like Intel...

Cons: I'm sure there is some but I can't think of any. As far as competition Intel has better tech, but that's common knowledge.

Overall Review: I paired it with a 3rd party cooler. The one it comes with looks pretty wimpy and may cause heat issues.

THOMSON NEOX13C Ultrabook Aluminum Case/ Intel® Celeron™ / 4GB RAM / 32GB eMMC / Full HD 1920x1080 pxl IPS/ Battery up to 7 Hours / Windows 10 / Silver / SSD Upgradeable up to 544GB /Sleeve Included

Pros: -Sleek design -Silver casing looks good and professional -internals are easy to access -screen is actually really good. probably the best thing on it. -trackpad isn't terrible like some other budget laptops.

Cons: -CPU can't even run the OS without constantly hitting the 100% range. Without things like windows update running, it's under but otherwise the little thing is pretty taxed. Not entirely it's fault as Windows 10 is a bloated pig. -Very mild dip in the middle of the keyboard. Not an issue though, just maybe needs structural buffering. Think the battery rests underneath so it could also be there as an air gap. -Battery is more like 5 hours.

Overall Review: I thought about returning it, but decided to keep the laptop and try another OS. The reason I bought it was to use as a streaming device for my main PC. With a lightweight Ubuntu distro(Zorin Lite 15.2), the CPU rests at under 10% typically when idle now. Memory usage rests at a nicer 20% too. It still hits the ceiling or stays in the high %'s doing anything like running Steam, for example. This may be due to needing some tweaking of the OS on my side. I suggest that the manufacturer look into using linux. It would save on production costs I imagine, since you won't have to fork over a licensing fee to MS and allow you to better utilize the hardware present. It is basically a mobile CPU after all. All in all, as a basic document maker, web browser, the laptop will work, even with Windows 10. It's just beyond that, you won't get much use, performance wise. I'm sure some old games would work, though.
