fine UPS
Pros: I like the voltage readout and the load and battery life graphs.
Cons: Please see other comments, below.
Overall Review: I own several of these Smart-series UPSes and I've been very happy with them. However, with this last order, I had a bit of an odyssey. The unit I received worked fine, but it made a noticeable buzzing sound when on line power. I could forgive this if the UPS was for a server room or industrial environment, but, I'm sorry, I couldn't tolerate this in a home office. But everything worked out OK: I RMAed the buzzing UPS and NewEgg sent me a prepaid label to send the UPS back. I ordered an identical UPS and the new UPS is silent. The only inconvenience I suffered was putting up with the buzzing for a few days and dropping off the bad UPS at Walgreens. I award the product five eggs because NewEgg sorted me out promptly, and the new UPS works fine.
very flaky behavior
Pros: I sort of got the drive to work, eventually, but only sort of.
Cons: See below. The drive is very sensitive to metal objects around it.
Overall Review: I ordered this drive to upgrade the drive in an MSI GE62 6QF laptop. After inserting the drive, the laptop would hang for 4-5 minutes, then go into BIOS. BIOS did not recognize the drive. In order to fix this, you have to go into BIOS and set the drive type to RAID *before* installing the drive. The laptop will post normally. I was able to install Windows 10 and boot from the drive. Great! While I was troubleshooting the drive and installing the OS I didn't install the drive's screw. After installing the screw and reinstalling the laptop's case, the laptop wouldn't boot. I figured out that there's something about the screw the drive doesn't like. I found a smaller diameter screw, and mercifully the drive booted with the smaller screw. How weird is that!? Then I reinstalled the laptop's optical drive, which sits close to the M.2 socket. Again, the laptop wouldn't boot! When I power on the laptop, it goes straight into BIOS, and all the drives are identified correctly, but it just keeps going directly into the BIOS screen after booting. This drive is overly sensitive to ... something. Since I fear that it will act up when I'm out in the field, I have no choice but to return it.
correct RAM for Dell Inspiron 15 5575
Pros: This is the correct kit to max out a Dell Inspiron 15 / 5575 laptop. The RAM has been working perfectly.
Cons: I have no cons at all.
Overall Review: Using this RAM I took a laptop that was several years old and made it more robust than many new laptops in the store!
This is the correct RAM for the MSI GE62 6QF
Pros: This is the correct kit to buy to max out the RAM on an MSI GE62 6QF. The RAM passed the Windows Memory Diagnostic without errors. Please forgive my brevity, I have to get back to work.
Overall Review: I've always had good luck with the G.Skill RAM.
fine SSD
Overall Review: I've only owned the SSD for a few days, and it's working great. My goal in purchasing a data center / enterprise SSD is that it will last longer than a consumer-level SSD, therefore, my satisfaction level may change based on the longevity of the drive.
outstanding video card
Pros: The performance is excellent. The card comes with FOUR mini-DisplayPort to regular DisplayPort adapters, which is appreciated. Included is a low-profile bracket that can be swapped, as needed.
Cons: None
Overall Review: In case it might be important to someone: the listing says the card brand is PNY. The unit I received is identical to the one pictures, but there is no mention of PNY on the card or the box, and the box says, "Designed, built, and tested by NVIDIA." It's an outstanding card and I highly recommend it. You can obtain the latest and greatest drivers from the NVIDIA web site.
everything is good!
I received the item I ordered with a reasonable period of time. The product was exactly as described and pictured on the site.
