Excellent board

Intel BOXDG33BUC LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel BOXDG33BUC LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: High quality Intel-made board - very fast with a E6750 and 2GB Kingston memory.

Cons: None right now

Overall Review: If the board is in AHCI mode Windows installs fine if you slipstream the drivers via nLite.

Most Critical Review

It works

PROMISE SATA300 TX4 PCI SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Controller Card
PROMISE SATA300 TX4 PCI SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Controller Card

Pros: Price. It works and is faster than IDE and non-NCQ SATA

Cons: Minor gripes: It's a Promise, not the first brand that comes to mind when you think "quality".

Overall Review: I can't speak for motherboard compatibility, but I've used these in a Dell Dimension 4600 and a Dell PowerEdge 600SC without incident. From a standpoint of quality and performance there are better cards out there.

Excellent - typical Supermicro quality

SUPERMICRO AOC-SAT2-MV8 64-bit PCI-X133MHz SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Controller Card
SUPERMICRO AOC-SAT2-MV8 64-bit PCI-X133MHz SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Controller Card

Pros: This is an excellent upgrade for an older P4 system that doesn't support SATA w/NCQ. It gives better performance than almost any other PCI SATA cards I've tried.

Cons: It's a bit pricy but IMO worth it. Linux does not yet support the NCQ features of this card.

Overall Review: It would rock if they made a 4 port version of this card. Like someone else said, it's the only non-RAID 8-port SATA card out there - everything else is a true hardware RAID card.

Newegg's description is wrong

Intel BOXDG33BUC LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel BOXDG33BUC LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Stil an excellent board as per my last review.

Cons: Still none

Overall Review: Newegg's description of this board is wrong; it supports DDR2 667 (for a 1333MHz FSB), NOT DDR3.

Wonderful, wonderful board

Intel SE7210TP1-E ATX Server Motherboard 478 Intel E7210
Intel SE7210TP1-E ATX Server Motherboard 478 Intel E7210

Pros: High quality and STABLE board. No problems what-so-ever after flashing the BIOS; currently running RHEL4.

Cons: Mine shipped with a corrupted BIOS. Had to flash it before it would boot from any media. Wish they had integrated the second serial port rather than using an expansion bracket.

Overall Review: The E7210 chipset is the server version of Intels 875 - the gigabit port is connected via CSA. Make sure your PSU is either ATX12v or EPS12v. Where the h-e-double-hockeysticks are the AMD equivalents?

LSI 3201064 64-bit, 66 MHz PCI SCSI MegaRAID Controller Card
LSI 3201064 64-bit, 66 MHz PCI SCSI MegaRAID Controller Card

Comments: Great card! Works like a champ for RAID1 and RAID5, especially with the optional BBU. Better cross-platform support than Adaptec, and cheaper to boot. Highly recommended.
