2 out of 5 eggs A key feature is lacking and the fact is somewhat hidden 07/18/2016

This review is from: LG Electronics 50UH5500 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2016 Model)

Pros: The set is manufactured by LG. I am a fan of LG products; no complaints. I ALWAYS look to LG first when I am buying something "electronic". The price is great but I think I know why ...

Cons: Although LG makes great products this set has a 60 Hz refresh rate; ie. NOT recommended for sports and other fast action viewing. If the set had a 120 Hz refresh had even a 50% higher price I might be inclined to buy a bunch of them. Disappointment awaits sports fans.

ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Has worked very well at 2.4 Ghz for 9+ months. CHEAP and reliable at 2.4

Cons: Lost the capability for 5 Ghz after 2 months. It just quit detecting the 5Ghz signal. The signal IS available as other devices can connect using it but this adapter just quit working at that frequency

Other Thoughts: Fortunately I can still get 25 MBs download speeds which are sufficient for my needs but less than the 50 I am paying for. [SIGH]

Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth - Windows (select) PC Game

1 out of 5 eggs Just for the money 12/26/2014

This review is from: Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth - Windows (select) PC Game

Pros: No immediate or apparent bugs

Cons: The game is utterly unnecessary as CIV5 is OBVIOUSLY far far superior. A waste of money on a repainted used up car. Can't return or get a refund because of licensing. Bummer all the way around

Other Thoughts: The difference between Civ:BE and Civ 5 is similar to the difference between Civ 4 and Civ 5 only going in the wrong direction. This mash-up was brought to market ONLY for the cash it would generate from the fans of Civ series. Sid Meier has badly betrayed the fan base and scooted off with the cash. Oh well.
