Stable power
Pros: Works as advertised. Keeps up with my 4 CPU workstation, 8 drive array, and two monitors easily when the power dips, which happens here pretty often.
Cons: Plugs are a little close together. I had to buy 12 inch power cable extensions for any of my power bricks, or they would make the other plugs unusable. Does not come with any built in extensions.
Overall Review: For my uses it keeps up with the current draw for the several seconds that the power dips. I haven't had any long term outages, but I only bought it to stabilize power for my array.
Unreliable
Pros: Speeds are good. No drivers needed.
Cons: Drops connections to devices when used very heavily at all. Connection is fine for transferring a few hundred megabytes, but attempting to transfer tens of gigabytes fails every time with every device I have.
Overall Review: I bought this to run external drive enclosures for data recovery. This card consistently disconnects from them. I also have problems with it allowing me to transfer to my USB 3 thumb drives for long periods of time. I have no problems with the devices using the built in USB 2.0 ports on the workstation, so it has to be a problem with the card. I've had these problems with a wide variety of Linux kernels, and several times under Windows 8. For the money, I'd recommend you look elsewhere.
Great value
Pros: I have purchased a number of these refurbished OCZ drives, I'd say about 10 so far. Every one of them has performed beautifully, speeds are high, data reliability has been good. So far every one of them has come with the newest firmware pre-installed.
Cons: Nothing bad to say about them
Overall Review: These really help to bring a new life into the old Core 2 Duo laptops that people bring into the shop. People always comment that they feel like their computers are faster than the brand new ones they use at work. For most daily use these save you a lot more time than a faster CPU would.
DOA
Pros: Well designed layout
Cons: Board dead on arrival. Would not boot with memory in DIMM bank 1, booted with memory in slot 2 with graphical problems and constant system freezes
Overall Review: Dead boards happen. Sent in for refund.
Everything works
Pros: System is clean: They went through the trouble of cleaning out the fans, heatsinks, etc. Windows 7 Home Prem license is good. Refurb sticker attached. Price: Only paid $89 for it.
Cons: Not free? Some scratches on case covered up by black sharpie, but it's not really noticeable unless you are looking for them.
Overall Review: For the price, this couldn't have been beaten. Just wish the price didn't go up the day after I bought it or I would have gotten 5 more.
Works, mostly
Pros: The laptop I received is in excellent condition, the only sign that it has been used at all is the wear on the original dell stickers on the bottom. Came with a fully charged battery and a good COA for Windows 7 Home Ed on the bottom, as well as an install CD.
Cons: The charger is not good. It has enough to run the laptop, but it is not the 4.7A printed on the label. It immediately throws up the "We could not recognize your charger, your laptop will run slower and will not charge the battery" warning. I have to use my universal charge while I wait for a replacement to be sent.
Overall Review: I purchased this for a customer, they don't have high needs, they just need something portable that can run old diagnostic software for their shop. If the charger were any good this would be a great buy. Not worth sending the whole laptop back for a replacement when you can pick up another for $10. Seems like a good gamble if you have the time to wait for a replacement charger.
