Pros: Update.. This player is working great!!! It is better than Philips sa 2325 2GB player that was prior other than the fact It holds less than half music content. Like the fact it starts up right away. The sa2325 takes appprox. 2 to 3 minutes to start.

Cons: As before the earbuds need replacing!!

Overall Review: The files you see when you are adding music, STDBTR,etc, Have nothing to do with operation of player. Its firmware or hardware. If it did they would not even show up visually, As is the case of the sa2325. I deleted all files and it works perfectly. Look up files on your computor and you will find out what they are........

Pros: Great price!! and A great player, User friendly. Did not even use manual to operate. Battery last a long time. Radio verey clear on all stations and I live in mountains in Oregon. Like faceplate option. look at other reiveiws for stats. Prior to the saq2627/37 I have two Phillips sa2325 2gb players, They cost 3 times as much but hold over twice as many songs. Called Philips and they said the both are apporx. 1.88 gb........Yea right!!!!!

Cons: Throw away earplugs and get Philips sh3200 flexable earhooks with bud- Sold on online store for under $9.00.

Overall Review: If anyone has data files on player- After installing disc and you want to put music on, I am SERIOUS!!!!- These Files automaticly download in your computor under recent documents. If you open start- under recent documents, (They load when you click on the file to open). Open STBDATA file When your unit is hooked up via usb and if you find encrytion on all of the file--- Before you do any thing Process the repair once or more times. It took me 4 times, then you will see mostly yyyys. That is why I bought a 2nd one. When I hooked it up it showed all ys on file. Think it has to do with initial hookup on disc. Even when I hooked up the new device Before I put on new disc it said (new hardware) Why?........ PLEASE do not risk it.....Repairig it does not hurt the player at all, If you do not its your risk Do not take the chance........I have no problems with the first one, so do not think you are damaging firmware- your not........

Cons: I bought this at a great price , when i set up cd to install everything was great. Shocked to see data files on mp3. 7 files to be exact, all encrypted dated 1-1-1980. deleted them, but next time I put music back on the files were still there. After 3 repair-recovery attempts all files are still there but damaged and most content gone. One file had 594 pages. What the heck is going on!!!!!!!!! computor warned me if I tried to decrypt fatal error would occur. Has me curious, I have to other philips 2gb players different year, never had a problem with deleting flash drive.
