Most Critical Review

Disappointed.

ASUS Desktop PC G10AC-US009S Intel Core i7 4770 (3.40 GHz) 32 GB DDR3 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Windows 8 64-Bit
ASUS Desktop PC G10AC-US009S Intel Core i7 4770 (3.40 GHz) 32 GB DDR3 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Windows 8 64-Bit

Pros: FAST.

Cons: It won't operate well enough to use its blazing speed.

Overall Review: We received the computer and it was DOA. We did contact ASUS and they couldn't do anything so they had us send it back to them for repairs. The freight was on us. It was returned in about 2 weeks and the onboard wired network port is DOA. So now I either send it back to ASUS for repairs or void the warranty and open it myself and either fix it or install another network card. This was purchased for CAD station so the down time is totally unacceptable. Typically I really like ASUS products but this computer appears to be a dud. I'd stay away from their PC's until they get more of the bugs worked out.

Second try

Pros: None on this computer

Cons: DOA - purchased almost a month ago and still have yet to get it to power up. ASUS tech support is practically useless.

Overall Review: ASUS desktops are AWFUL. I really like their components but as far as a desktop provider, I will never consider it again. I have built hundreds of computers so I do have some knowledge. This is the second one I purchased. My first review is below. Foolishly, I purchased another after I finally got the first running because of its blazing speed. The second one came in and would not start. Lights would blink but otherwise DOA. Finally got ASUS to RMA it. Again, postage was on me! When it finally came back, it was a total DOA!!! No lights, no fan on the power supply. Nothing. The first time I contacted ASUS they couldn't do anything because their own computers were down. How freaking funny. After 2 other tries, I finally got an RMA but couldn't get a fedex pick up although I promised one. When fedex tried, they said I had to carry it to a store. Sorry but that doesn't work where I am at!! Contacted them a fourth time, and their computers are down again!! After a month I am still left with a non working piece of junk. STAY AWAY! PS - I did purchase the extra onsite warranty, but it doesn't kick in until after the manufacturers one year warranty is over. So I'd avoid that as well!!!!

I would rate lower but couldn't!!!!!!

Comments: This board has ISSUES!! NewEgg has been great but after going through two of these boards in as many weeks, I'm going to Abit or MSI. I have been fond of Asus boards in the past but their new automatic AI overclocking is AWFUL!! Do a web search for this motherboard and "System failed due to CPU over-clocking". The motherboard does this automatically and then will NOT boot up, even to bios so you can fix it! The system was NOT over-clocked to begin with! STAY AWAY!!! (PS - Tech support is non-existant!)
