Nice little unit
Overall Review: It was able to jumpstart a 3.8L v6 engine with a battery that was under 3v, which is too low for most plugin battery chargers to charge, thanks to the units boost function. Since the car also has a keyless push to start ignition, the fact it will provide 30 seconds of power to run the cars computers while you try to start it was very helpful.
Solid low-cost LED TV
Pros: Price is hard to beat Picture quality Variety of inputs and outputs Light-weight, but sturdy VESA standard bracket mount
Cons: Sound is anemic at best, you'll want pair it with external speakers for most listening environments. Not surprising given the thin nature of the unit; speakers typically need a longer throw distance for the speaker cone to move a good volume of air and hence produce good volume with clarity, but without the room for those in a thin TV the sound suffers.
Overall Review: I was a little hesitant a first about the TV given how low the price was and having limited exposure to the brand, but features for the price won out. In the end I'm very pleased with the purchase, picture quality is really excellent given the price point. While it doesn't beat my 46" plasma TV, it certainly outclasses an older 37" Vizio LCD TV that at the time had cost me about twice what I paid for this unit.
Solid performance & low cost
Pros: Low cost eight port Gigabit Ethernet switch. Low power consumption. Jumbo Frame Support.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Originally intended to connect several different drops to a router on my home network. However it ended up replacing a 10/100 SMC desktop switch that unceremoniously died after 5 years. Took less than five minutes to swap in this switch and it has performed well. File transfers between devices are very fast, data steaming is rock solid and uplink speed is quite speedy.
Pretty good, could be better.
Pros: It pretty easy to use, sound quality is good (both drivers & mic), works well with my V3 Razor, and works with my computers for VOIP (when used with the correct software).
Cons: Could be more comfortable (you will get used to it however), transport controls are difficult to locate by feel and require some force to activate. The mic can be difficult to position and I'd prefer to be able to move it out of the way when not in use, but you can detach it. In electrically noisy enviroments dropout and packet timing can cause very noticable audio problems.
Overall Review: The audio transmitter included for mp3/other device it comes with should really have an iPod remote connection to control audio transport. I'm currently using the transmitter from Logitech's Wireless Headphones for iPod to work around this. Since the Logitech product doesn't have a mic and this IOGear one lacks the transport control on the transmitter you end up mixing and matching. Now only if someone would step up with a Bluetooth head unit for my car I can use my iPod and phone wirelessly through my car stereo.
Best OS Microsoft ever released
Comments: A few words to describe it: Stable, expandable, & powerful. Having been through every Microsoft OS from Windows 3.11 to XP this is the only OS they put out I really felt good about. I also run a few Linux machines and Win2K is close in terms of stability, better in terms of ease of use, and allows for almost as command over the system. If you have serious work you need to do in a Windows enviroment this is what you want and need.
