Pros: Finally a modem/router that works with TMC, The Motorola and Cisco modems had issues recovering the internet connection after failure or a reset in the network. User recover for this problem was to reboot both the router and cable modem, a practice not well receive by the family. TMC would not update firmware on any customer owned modem and the simple answer was to rent their equipment. Two weeks have passed and not a reboot of this modem/router.
Cons: None
Another Disappointment
Pros: If you never care about updating this product, you'll be alright.
Cons: Another failed update, I purchase the Nuvi40LM because after updating the firmware in my Nuvi1490 I was unable to update the maps. After this purchase, I updated the firmware on the 40LM and then the 2.6GB map software with a message that update completed successful, not so, the message on the nuvi40LM when attempting to use was no map data available. This was my third nuvi and updates to firmware and maps has always been time consuming and not reliable.
This memory can not be used with a ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 motherboard and processor AMD FX-8370 with Wraith cooler.
Pros: N/A
Cons: The memory heat sync and the cooling fins on the process heat sync interfere and preventing the memory installation. Solution is to purchase the Corsair LP or low profile memory.
Overall Review: Corsair memory has always been a reliable produce and this is just a physical incompatibility between the two products. I installed the Low Profile memory with no clearance problems.
Auto Renewal on Credit Card
Pros: None
Cons: This product was install over a year ago and was replaced with another produce because it failed to perform as advertised, i.e fail to stop malware. Last month a charge of $99 was on the credit card for an automatic renew Kaspersky. Not the way to do business, we were unsuccessful in reversing the credit card charge. Buyer beware.
TWC or modem?
Pros: None
Cons: The basic problem is the modem reboots randomly and link fails to reestablish TCP the connection. This begs the question, who's has responsibility to perform error recovery. The first thing I would do is download the latest firmware for the modem if there is a newer release, but that's not an option for the customer. The ISP provider must perform the upgrade, but TWC doesn't upgrade customer modems. What is your options with TWC, put the modem and router on a plug that's control by a switch to reboot after failure. Motorola should provide the customer an option to upgrade the firmware like most other products. Answer: Connected to TWC, rent there modem or use some other networking option if possible. With TWC don't purchase a modem.
Works with "non-GDI/CAPT"
Pros: None yet
Cons: The description fails to specify this device works with non-GDI/CAPT printers. Do a search to verify your printer is not one of the non supported printers. Many common low priced printers are in this category.
Overall Review: Of course Newegg has the best price, shipping, and service, but this restriction was not include in online description
