Pros: Inexpensive monitor, functions well, good image.

Cons: Units fail after limited use

Overall Review: I purchased 5 of these monitors on 3/15/2005. Units were in service sometime in April 2005. First unit failed July 2006 - just out of warranty period. The fifth monitor just failed last week. All exhibit similar symptoms - upon power up an image is displayed; about 5 seconds later the screen goes dark. I have had several discussions with Sceptre, they have no comment except that I can send the units back to them paying the $100 out of warranty service charge along with a $35. shipping charge and get them repaired. They offer no warranty on the repair nor will they make any claims as to what the mean time between failures should be for these monitors. I can't help but think that many owners of these monitors have suffered similar failures - most likely due to the use of marginally rated parts during manufacture.
