Out of 4~5 external/internal wireless adapters I've tried, this one is the best.
Pros: It does not make me wish I had hard wired connection to a router, which is all I can ask.
Cons: - Depending on your computer case, it might be an awkward fit.
Overall Review: I won't bore you with all the technical words but I will tell you this - I am a professional software/electrical engineer currently working as a network analyst / programmer and I give this product two thumbs up. If you are not satisfied with this product for some reason please ensure that: 1. Keep wall attenuation to minimal (ex: try not to place a fridge in between your router and your wireless adapter) 2. Check if your router is causing issues. 3. Find out if someone in your house is hogging the bandwidth. If you've done all those checks and still unsure why it's not working as it should be, maybe you have a defective unit. It happens. Get a replacement and sorry about your luck!
Dead after 4 months of use
Pros: Worked great when it was working.
Cons: Dead. What does a PSU suppose to do? Provide clean power for at least the MTBF. Well it's not doing what it's supposed to be doing so that's a big Con.
Overall Review: I don't have SLI or anything that's particularly power hungry.
Solid card, but died after 1 year and 4 months
Pros: Solid card, price is well justified
Cons: A bit power hungry, needs a decent PSU to run it. I was able to run it with 550W PSU, but I had to make sure enough current was available for this card. I think I just barely had enough.
Overall Review: Runs pretty hot, when playing high demand games I've seen 90+ degrees Celsius. This might be the reason why it's dead after 1 year and 4 months? I have a decent tower, running water cooling on CPU just FYI.
