Does what it's supposed to...

Kingston DataTraveler 110 (Green) 8GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model DT110G/8GB
Kingston DataTraveler 110 (Green) 8GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model DT110G/8GB

Pros: No cap to lose...

Cons: I needed this drive to use with PHILIPS DVP5982/37 1080p HDMI DivX Ultra Upconversion DVD Player. It took me some time to get the two to play nice, but no problems since...

Overall Review: The read is much faster than the write, but it's still very decent. It takes me between 1-2 minutes to copy a 700MB file onto the card, but under 30 seconds to copy it back onto the computer. Overall, I think this is a great deal.

Good for the price.

Philips DVD Player DVP5982/37
Philips DVD Player DVP5982/37

Pros: I can finally play all of my DivX and Xvid on my HDTV just by dropping them into a USB stick. The quality comes out great and the DVD upconversion is awesome! Can't beat the price.

Cons: Not all USB sticks get recognized by the player. It seems rather picky... I bought a Kingston DataTraveler 110 8GB Flash Drive and it would not recognize it, it wouldn't even read it. So i played around with the drive formatting it any way i could, but nothing helped. So i tried a USB hub, didn't work. but after disconnecting the hub and inserting the drive it WORKED. Can't explain why or how, but it only works after i plug the hub in and out will the DVD read my flash card. Also, the sound and video seem a little off when playing from any source. Thankfully there's a "lipsync" option, but it's very cumbersome to set it to the correct alignment.

Overall Review: For the price, i think this is a great solution for people who have a lot of DivX movies. It works for me.

Works Great!

TOSHIBA MK1637GSX 160GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
TOSHIBA MK1637GSX 160GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It's bigger that the 80GB that came with my MacBook.

Cons: None so far..

Overall Review: Got this to replace the stock 80GB drive in my MacBook. Very easy to swap in and out. I backed up my old drive onto an external HD using Time Machine and then loaded it back to the new drive using the Leopard CD. Worked like a charm! Haven't had any problems with temperature or noise.

So far so good

LACIE d2 Quadra 500GB 7200 RPM 3.5" USB 2.0 / Firewire400 / Firewire800 / eSATA External Hard Drive Model 301110U
LACIE d2 Quadra 500GB 7200 RPM 3.5" USB 2.0 / Firewire400 / Firewire800 / eSATA External Hard Drive Model 301110U

Pros: Quad Interface is great. I needed a drive that would have USB for PC and FireWire for Mac. Transfer speeds seem relatively fast on both. The price was definitely more than reasonable for this size drive.

Cons: The drive could be on the loud side. This doesn't bother me as I use it for backups, so the drive is off most of the time. But I would not be able to sleep in the same room if the drive was in use.

Overall Review: I have a MacBook and my fiance has a PC, so I partitioned the drive in 2 (NTFS and HFS+). Works like a charm, I can see, but not edit his files; while he can't see mine (which is awesome). On the mac it works flawlessly with Time Machine. All in all I am extremely happy with the purchase.
