Great for home Ubuntu server & desktop

Acer Desktop PC AspireRevo AR1600-U910H Intel Atom 230 1GB DDR2 160GB HDD Windows XP Home
Acer Desktop PC AspireRevo AR1600-U910H Intel Atom 230 1GB DDR2 160GB HDD Windows XP Home

Pros: - Small, - cheap, - not noisy, - decent amount of memory & hard drive. - 6 usb + 1 e-sata. - Works well with Ubuntu server and Ubuntu desktop. - Upgradeable to 4GB ram.

Cons: - Flimsy power button. What will I do if it breaks? I am serious, it seems it can break at any time if I press it the wrong way. Since it's not easy to repair I will probably need to dump the unit and buy a new one. - Flimsy base. If you want to use it vertically, it "moves"... - Not suitable for horizontal position either. It does not have "legs"; i.e. will get hot.

Overall Review: I needed an Ubuntu server, so I don't care about HDMI, wireless network, audio, mic, nVidia video driver, etc, etc. I care about compatibility with all linux services and I was able to format ext4 with LVM! Can you believe it? Also java 6 and Tomcat 6, ssh & ufw run awesome there.

Useful, very useful

Pros: It simply works. Works always, very reliable, good battery life, good email, easy to use. If you need phone + email to work, this is the device for you. Get it.

Cons: OS does lots of more *important* things besides serving you, so sometimes it becomes very slow or lose track of where you were in the menu.

Overall Review: Little bit bulky compared to other phones. No SD slot. No camera. Anyway, I need it for work, so that's fine for me.
