Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced - Mini-ITX Computer Case with USB 3.0 and Long Graphics Card Support - Black
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: No sharp edges.

Black on the inside and out (including the screws).

ATX PSU.

Air flow works well. The side 80mm fan blows right into the CPU. The front 120mm fan brings cool air directly into the case and there is space to add a second 120mm fan.

Thumb screws.

Ability to install a dual slot GPU.

Price.

Cons: The feet are plastic and very slippery on a hard surface (really need something rubber on the bottom).

The 80mm side fan is noisy. The sound is not from the movement of air. It has a pulsing sound and as the fan increases with speed, so does the pulsing sound. It is the only sound I hear from the system, so it's very annoying.

The case cables are extremely long (maybe a pro for some, but it's more cable to conceal).

Only one USB 3.0 on the front.

Areas of the case do not align 100%. For example, the top steel cover does not align to the plastic front cover correctly and the reset button tilts inward.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this case gets the job done. Of all the cons, the only one that really bothers me is the 80mm fan noise. I am building the system for someone else, so maybe they will not notice.

The price is great and this case gets almost everything right.

In Win BL040 SFF mATX Slim cas with Haswell Ready 300w power supply, 8cm Fan, USB 3.0X2 & USB2.0 x 2, HD audio, Air Filter
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Reliable power supply. Good ventilation. Easy to work with. No reset switch (no need for these anymore). USB 3.0 front ports. Clean design.

Cons: The case is somewhat current with its front USB 3.0 ports, but then does not include a 2.5" drive mount option. It is time for an SSD mount in all cases.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased about 10 of these so far (and other variations of these cases over the years) and the most important factor to me when buying a case with an included power supply is that the power supply is reliable. If you cannot include a good PSU, do not include one at all. These power supplies have been solid. I have not had one fail yet and no DOA's either.

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-5300CL4D-4GBPQ
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: It's RAM. Nothing special.

Cons: Will not work as a pair. I have to RMA the defective RAM and wait for a replacement.

Other Thoughts: I'm really getting tired of all the defective G.Skill RAM I have been getting. This is the third defective G.Skill set I've had to replace in the past six months.
