Pros: Good contrast but it' not adjustable. Screen is quite sharp. The ability to operate in either "landscape" or "portrait" modes is a big PLUS. Delivery was on time, as usual with Newegg.

Cons: I've never had the option of portrait mode display and so I called for help from Samsung. I got NO assistance from them, in fact, the person I spoke to was very curt and arrogant. It was a useless exercise. So don't bother to speak to Samsung customer service.

Overall Review: After doing my own research on how to use or setup the two modes of display, the product has performed very well. My main reason for buying this monitor is to be able to show much more lines of code when doing programming. For this purpose it is great. I'm very happy. You just spin the monitor 90 degrees and viola, you're in portrait. Then do the same in opposite direction and you're back in the normal landscape display. Excellent. I must mention that I have two other computers in use while using this new unit, which are in supplementary service.

Pros: This cable is beautifully made - a real work of art. Potentially, it should rate five stars!

Cons: Unfortunately, being beautiful doesn't make it work like it should. The problem is; the monitor blinks "off" (goes blank) every few minutes for a short period of approximately 1-3 seconds. Otherwise, it has a near perfect picture. (I use this cable to operate an extended HP 27" monitor used with a HP Elite notebook. This monitor/notebook works perfectly with a different cable.)

Overall Review: I would recommend this cable "IF" it would only work as it should.

Pros: This cable was purchased to connect my #1 laptop computer to a HD Samsung monitor and it gives excellent performance and picture quality.

Pros: What to say about expanding your RAM - plug-in and away you go. Have had it for several months and so far, no problems.

Overall Review: My only recommendation is to be careful about ordering the right match, since most computers are finicky about right item. And it can be confusing getting the right RAM with so many choices. In my case, I was going from 8GB to 16GB. I did remove both old strips and replaced it with the new. But you still have to careful about version and speed, etc.

Pros: I bought this unit (3 of `em) because most of my thumb stock is either too hard to extract or they stick too far and are a target to break off. These units are just right, as to physical size. As to operation, I haven't used them long enough but they seem fine.

Cons: None at this point.

Overall Review: Thumb drives are a great addition to useful devices when you work with several computers. They provide an easy way to transfer files when a network in not available, plus, are good for short term storage.

Pros: Most of the time, this computer works normally. It has an excellent , sharp screen, good speed performance, and is quite satisfactory. In fact, I generally like it.

Cons: However, ocassionally, it takes off on a tangent and does something strange. It is hard to discribe the maladys because the seldom repeat. In other words, it's a new malidy on each event. If I were superstitious, i'd say it was possessed!? When something goes awry, the computer will continue to operate, but with strange things happening, like the background will shut off but the mouse still works and an apprication will partially function. Sometimes stopping that program will restore normal operation, sometime not. In all cases, so far, a reboot cures all.

Overall Review: I have about five HP computers of various ages and power and I use vertually all - but for different purposses ( several are setup for very special usage). Additionally, I have been using and programming computers for over forty years. This is the only one that does these periodic, strange events. If it were alive, I'd take it to psychiatrist for treatment. (smile).

It took a full 3 weeks to get here. If they'd put in the mail, it would have taken only 1 week!

I would caution any prospective buyer to not believe the specs without question. The computer I purchased stated it had a "Back Lit Keyboard" which was UN-true. I'm still evaluating other features to see if anything else is incorrect. This machine was purchased for a friend, so I don't know if he will complain about the keyboard lighting problem. More info later as we get time to complete the examination of this unit...

So far (haven't had it long), it appears to do what it's supposed to do - plus being able to identify the drive installed which is convinent. On that basis, would recommend.
