Pros: As predicted, Patriot has come through again! -AMD Black Edition Ready -Fast Stock Timing Clocks -Price *See Other Thoughts below
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Purchased to match an older Patriot 4GB set in stock timing and voltage. Since I had already set the recommended voltage and timings for the older pair in the bios (as my mobo defaulted them to 1033/1.5v) it was essentially plug and play. Just make sure you check your bios, and set them to rated timings and voltage if needed (or be adventurous and overclock if you have proper cooling!). It appears this set is an updated version of my older pair PDC34G1333LLK which has been excellent! Upgrading or first time build, I can definitely recommend this series.
Adding Additional RAM

Pros: I couldn't find any reviews yet of this particular series or model, but I am an avid Patriot fan and have never had a problem with any of their products. Purchasing Points: - AMD Black Edition Ready (rating pairs with my 720BE) - Price (about half of what i paid for my current 4gb set back in 09'!) - Matched the rated timing and voltages of my current ram (4GB Patriot Extreme Performance - PDC34G1333LLK) Will complete review after I install and test this evening!

Excellent Card

Pros: Powerful, Quiet, and Cool. This card will run any current game or application with ease, even at higher resolutions like 1080p, and there is enough head room to spare, even at stock speeds. It's slick design houses an excellent heatsink and a fairly quiet fan, and doesn't consume alot of power, which equates to low temperatures, even under heavy load in comparison to most other cards (with proper case ventilation being a bonus to those numbers, I imagine it would run hot with poor case ventilation since some of the heat is dispersed out the back of the card). It is capable of being overclocked nearly 25% higher than stock speeds, up to and beyond the Turbo edition, using software or even flashing the GPU Bios (but at your own risk, of course) The construction seems sturdy on the heatsink and board. Also, the black and blue color scheme went well with my case.
Cons: None so far...
Overall Review: Benefits of opting for the (+$25) Turbo edition include: a copy of Modern Warfare 2, slightly higher bios clocks, and MW2 sticker on the GPU. If these aren't of great importance to you, and you are savvy with overclocking (if even necessary), i would highly recommend this card to you. If you are planning on getting MW2, definitely go with the Turbo edition. I found this to be the best 5850 on the market (and seems to be a favorite of professional reviews, ala Guru3D) so if you are looking for a upper-mid to lower-high range card, this price and quality can't be beat.
Excellent Beauty, Quality & Form

Pros: Picture quality is brilliant and crisp with a good reproduction of blacks. Speedy response time of 2ms for minimal streaking. Unique design with an impressive, easy to assemble stand (no tools needed) that rotates and tilts with ease. I must say the slim design and glossy black bezel are sleek, and the buttons are a nice touch (pun intended). No problems with connectivity to my pc, with one minor complaint that is not at fault of the monitor but should be noted regardless (see Other thoughts). Overall, a very good value for everything you get in comparison to some of it's competitors.
Cons: Hardly a con, but a more comprehensive manual would've been nice. As others have stated, some time needs to be set aside to adjust the picture, either via the OSD or using software, but this is typical of most monitors.
Overall Review: - If you are using an ATI GPU, there is a known issue with the Catalyst drivers that are currently out affecting DTV(DVI) resolutions at 1920x1080, that do not scale to full screen, leaving a border around the picture. This can be resolved by using Catalyst Control Center, and the scaling option adjusting overscan (0%). Unfortunately, you will need to do this every time you boot your pc, but again this is only for ATI GPUs and this (or any) 1080p monitor or tv is not at fault. - 60Hz is not a con, especially with the 2ms response time. I have no problems when gaming or watching video of any kind. - Height adjustment is not a con, since it clearly states in details under convenience that the stand adjustments are Swivel & Tilt.
