TP-LINK TL-WR740N Wireless N150 Home Router, 150Mbps, IP QoS, WPS Button

4 out of 5 eggs Stable Connection, limited range. 07/19/2012

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR740N Wireless N150 Home Router, 150Mbps, IP QoS, WPS Button

Pros: The setup was very easy, only took about 5-10 minutes. The transfer rate is very stable, it doesn't fluctuate much at all on small or large transfers and downloads. It's small and tucks away easily. Lastly, and this is a personal thing, it has a power on off switch in the back. For me this is important as I hate having to pull the power cord all the time to turn something off like on my last Router.

Cons: The only real con I have is that the range on this routers Wi-Fi isn't all that great. My place is about 1400 square feet and then I have a nice sized yard. I have it in about the center of the house were my old router was but my signal ends about 10-15ft from the house and begins to drop down in signal strength on the edges of the room the router is in. My old router would push my Wi-Fi out a good 30-40 feet from the house and I had very strong signal in the house. I would have liked to have seen a bit more range on this as my tablet and phones go outside with me and it's not fun being out of Wi-Fi were I used to have it.

Other Thoughts: This would be a great Router for someone in a duplex or an appartment were you don't want to push the signal out a long ways from the router. The device works great and I really like it, but for someone who has a decent sized yard and wants to be able to get signal out there I would suggest looking for a different device.

Kingston 2GB MicroSD Flash Card w/ SD Adapter Model SDC/2GB

Pros: It's a flash drive, it wasn't dead when it got here, which means it worked. That is about all there is to a flash drive.

Cons: it didn't come with a lanyard

APEX PC-375 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX12V 300W Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: This case is nice and solid, the looks are plain but not ugly, and it has plenty of room for a standard computer build. It has worked great for my mothers new build.

Cons: I really don't have any complaints about this case.
