Pros: I bought this to watch the olympics and it worked flawlessly. I downloaded WinTV 7.3 from the Hauppauge website and that worked great in Windows XP. I found that the device has to be connected when running the WinTV installer. In WinTV we could pause and record live TV. Great for not missing the action when the baby wakes up crying. Comes with a short USB extension cable so you don't have to plug the device directly into the side of the laptop.

Cons: If the device comes unplugged from the USB port then WinTV freezes and nothing short of a reboot seemed to get it going again. Just make sure it doesn't come unplugged while you're watching!

Pros: I live in a remote area with sparse cell service. I really only need a smart phone when travelling. Recently we got an electric car and this phone helps with finding charging stations, planning routes , etc. So far 3G, wireless, phone and camera all work great. I have two young boys and they used the shipping box in a project they were building. It took me a while of searching through the trash to find the manifest with the airtime PIN on it. Make sure you keep track of the manifest until the PIN is entered. :)

Cons: None so far.

Pros: We have a 20 month old son and this computer has been great for capturing from our dv camera and producing dvds using the provided video editing and burning software. We watch movies on it. We video chat with his grandparents using the built-in cam. We look at big trucks on the web. It has held up to him banging on the keyboard, popping off the keys, and putting yogurt in the keys. Nice and fast with long battery life. I haven't been so happy with a purchase in a long time.

Cons: If you don't close the CD tray firmly it makes a horrible grinding noise. Close it firmly and it's no problem.
