Perfect 7.9

G.SKILL Trident 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD
G.SKILL Trident 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD

Pros: Perfect 7.9 rating in Windows 7! Fast as hell!!! XMP profile! Two clicks in my BIOS and running at full 2,000. No need to overclock with my Intel Core i7-930. Two clicks and both are running at full speed with no overclocking at all. Perfect!

Cons: Nothing, perfect as is. :)

Overall Review: XMP profile makes it easy to get optimal performance so make sure you get a motherboard that supports it. Loving my GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R.

CM Storm Octane - Multicolor LED Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo Bundle

Pros: See cons.

Cons: Left mouse is double or triple clicking all on its own. Less than 4 months of use. 2 months really since I was not home to use it for 2 months. Tested on 2 other pcs to be sure. Same. Very lame.

Rosewill RC-401-EX Network Card Gigabit Low Profile 10/100/1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45

Pros: Looks like someone high up noticed. I got a call back and tuns out it's because of a bad capacitor. They apologised for the problem and untimely contact.

Cons: none now, they fixed the problem :D

Overall Review: Sending me a new one at no charge, did not even have to send the old broken one back. So no shipping costs. Thank you very much!! That is more like it! Will buy again!

Noise

Rosewill RC-401-EX Network Card Gigabit Low Profile 10/100/1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45
Rosewill RC-401-EX Network Card Gigabit Low Profile 10/100/1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45

Pros: I have had this card for 5 months now. Been working great and still does work. Sadly though it is now very noisy. Very irritated scratchy sound now when doing heavy network activity, such as viewing a 1080p video via UPnP on my XboX 360. I can pause the video and the noise stops. I took my case apart to be 100% sure and yes I am 100% sure it is this card. Tried old 2009 drivers that come with the CD and the latest Marvell Yukon 88E8053 Driver from http://www.marvell.com/support.html, version 11.30.1.3 dated 9/15/10. Still have the noise issue, so not a driver problem. Since the card uses no other software that it can NOT be a software issue. The more bandwidth I use the more noise this card makes. Very annoying! :( Again, was fine for five months. Time for RMA, if they ever call back, see below.

Cons: I called their 800 number for tech support and was asked for my name and number for a return call. Never got the return call. So called back and was told they are very busy and they would call back within an hour, never happened! Tried to RMA, same thing! Guess the holidays are killing them. Anyhow, their tech support sucks!

Overall Review: Their tech support sucks! Card is noisy as hell, the more bandwidth used the louder it gets. So just browsing around the Internet is fine. No noise at all. Very odd problem this is, since otherwise the card is still working great! But my computer and TV are in the same room and this is driving me crazy. It's unwatchable now because of how irritating the sound is.

1 Suck Pixel On Green

ASUS VE246H Black 24" 1920 x 1080 Full HD HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor w/Speakers 250 cd/m2 50,000 :1 (ASCR)
ASUS VE246H Black 24" 1920 x 1080 Full HD HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor w/Speakers 250 cd/m2 50,000 :1 (ASCR)

Pros: Excellent, though I dont use the speakers..

Cons: Does not automatically switch to HDMI. :( 1 stuck green pixel right in the center of the screen. Tried everything to get it unstuck. :(

Overall Review: Would be nice if it were smart enough to automatically switch to HDMI when it sees there is a connection. I have to run in DVI at boot up your simply blank screen and then switch to HDMI once W7 has finished loading.
