POOR customer support

BUFFALO AirStation HighPower N300 DD-WRT Wireless Router WHR-300HP (Black)
BUFFALO AirStation HighPower N300 DD-WRT Wireless Router WHR-300HP (Black)

Pros: When it works, it worked great

Cons: Started having a problem where it would randomly stop working for wired and wireless after almost 1 year of use. I decided to look for a firmware upgrade. I tried the built-in "check for upgrades" button in the software, and it says "Error retrieving update information". I tried their website, and could not locate this model number on their website. I decided to use their online customer support ticket option to inquire about my problem. They finally emailed me after 2 days and asked if I purchased it in the US, and told me I needed to contact the US support division, with a link that was EXACTLY the same link I had already used to register the support ticket the first time. I don't know if their website is simply messed up, or what, but this is POOR customer service. Instead of FORWARDING my ticket to the proper support division, or finding the answer and providing it, they decided to close the ticket and leave me hanging. No problem, lesson learned, no more Buffalo products for me or those I support. If you decide to use them, you better hope you never need support.

Does NOT work with Raspberry Pi

HooToo® HT-UH005 Ultra-Slim Compact SuperSpeed USB 3.0 4-Port Hub (Latest VIA VL812 Chipset, 5V/2A Power Adapter, 2.3 feet USB 3.0 Cable, Free Magic Velcro Stickers)
HooToo® HT-UH005 Ultra-Slim Compact SuperSpeed USB 3.0 4-Port Hub (Latest VIA VL812 Chipset, 5V/2A Power Adapter, 2.3 feet USB 3.0 Cable, Free Magic Velcro Stickers)

Pros: Small, powerful power supply, comes with velcro, USB 3.0

Cons: Power supply cord is shorter than expected (measures 46" and that is to the tip) making it not nearly as usable, and it does not work with the Raspberry Pi as I had hoped it would. When I connect it to the Pi, it does nothing. The light for the USB device lights for a split second, then nothing. It does work fine with my laptop, but since I bought this specifically for the Pi, it does not meet my needs. Don't start about the RPI compatible hardware list. That list ONLY gets data when someone buys something and tries it, it is not an all encompassing list, and therefore not definitive, only a guideline.
