Pros: Boy, am I glad I found this SuperDrive! One should not be intimidated by by the price, which is $100 more that equally impressive and functional drives for mere mortal, plebeian...PC's. Nor should one prejudge, despite the fact that the aforementioned equipment will function just fine with the obviously superior Apple products, although Steve Jobs would scream in agony if he ever knew that one allowed a non-Apple product touch one of our FAR superior works of art, which are often imitated, but NEVER equaled... I always find it important to smell-test any product that I insert into my finely-tuned masterpiece--it deserves nothing but THE best and, although this DVD burner may LOOK and FUNCTION like any other, much less expensive DVD burner, they do NOT have the sweet MAC or "i" in their names and, let's face it, we all get off telling those simple PC users how superior OUR Apple products are, which justifies paying twice, or who cares, as much for the exact same equipment. Besides, if it doesn't say "Retina", it's par with "Flintstones plastic tumbler". -- note the shiny, false-ivory coating, and the smell... of victory. And the color -- I mean, nothing but the best for us connoisseurs, right?

Cons: cons? CONS?!?!? How insulting that Newegg would even allow a "cons" section in an Apple-compatible product review page. How vile.

Pros: This drive was the cheapest one I could find.

Cons: This drive has been just as slow as my 5400 rpm drive that I replaced in my Dell XPS 1340 laptop. I just spoke with Jewell from customer support, and she said that my numbers ( 179.27 Sequential read/75.97 sequential write) are what this drive is supposed to run at. Please see the attached thumbnails. She also said that I needed to use ATTO SSD benchmark, not the one that I used. This Dr runs horribly slow, & I cannot believe that they would post such high numbers, when it wont even achieve half of that. Kingston has lost me and any of my friends and family as customers. Avoid this brand at all costs, if you want good customer service.

Pros: SETI@Home used to run ~70c, now runs @ ~50c, with the case fan on LOW on my Antec 300!! Amazing results, and WAAAAAY QUIETER!!

Cons: No big deal, but "some assembly required". Read ALL of the directions 1st, then assemble, even if you think you know it all...
