Does its job well.

Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler
Noctua NH-C14 140mm x 2 SSO CPU Cooler

Pros: Before this, I was still running my FX-4350 on the stock AMD cooler. It provided idle temps of ~35C and full load temps of ~51.5C. Stock cooler was also very loud. In comparison, these fans are really quiet. Using an NZXT Phantom case, and the case fans are much louder. I'm not using any of the adapters. The thermal paste is top notch. Everything about the heatsink looks good in my opinion. Packaging is nice, and instructions are clear. Although I was only able to use the top fan, it definitely helped. Idle temp of 32C with a full load temp of 42C max.

Cons: The Noctua site said it would be compatible with my motherboard. What it didn't mention is that it is only compatible with the bottom fan removed, and it can only hang over the RAM unless I sacrifice a RAM slot. For reference, I'm not using RAM with any large heat spreaders or anything. So options were limited. I ended up using the bottom fan as a case fan. It was oddly difficult to seat properly, even though it was a straightforward process. Had to reseat a few times to make sure I was satisfied with the result. The way the screws attach to the mounts leaves little room for error.

Overall Review: Overall, I'm satisfied with this product. I would definitely recommend it. I was just a little disappointed that Noctua's site would list a board as compatible when it's not compatible with both fans on.

Good Case On A Deal

NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case
NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: -It will fit pretty much everything you want, unless you plan on having a massive heatsink and the 200mm side intake fan installed. -The fan controller is nice to have. -It feels sturdy. -High level of compatibility. -Provides great airflow with all fans. -Lots of room for cable management.

Cons: -Fan controller tends to be defective. Apparently it is very common. -Only excepts NZXT fans, although I fit a Noctua fan in the front slot with some gerry-rigging. -NZXT customer service isn't much help. -The dust screens are sub-par.

Overall Review: The fan controller caused a bit of an issue. The LED lights on the controller flash at random intervals. I contacted NZXT about it and they said it was defective and they could replace it for free. Great, I thought. They said they would send me a tracking number when it sent, but two weeks later I hadn't heard from them. I inquired about it again. They had forgot, but then they sent it, and I got my tracking number. About three weeks later, it arrived. I picked it up, but noticed it was a much larger box than necessary. Oh, well. Must be lots of padding, right? It turns out they sent me a 200mm fan instead. Mentioned this to them, but never heard back. That was several months ago. I bought this last June. I installed the fan anyway, although it doesn't do much for temperature differences. Still wish the blinking lights would stop.
