Pros: We purchased this unit and had it up and running within minutes. It really adds an element of professionalism to our business.
Cons: No cons, it does what it is supposed to and is easier than any other message on hold device we've used. You do need to have a phone system. It's not designed to work with consumer house phones.
Other Thoughts: The website made it really easy to get up and running. It saved me a lot of time and headache that I would have had to deal with if going with one of the other message on hold solutions.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Platinum Tools 100010B EZ-RJ45 Cat-6 Plus Connector (100-Pack Boxed)
Pros: Super easy to insert wires through the connector and verify proper wiring order. The wiring is very snug and EXTREMELY fast to do. Also a lot less scrap material.
Cons: none... There was mention that the strain relief is not included. That would be nice but most people know those are sold separately so it would not be fair to ding the product solely based off that.
Other Thoughts: They are obviously designed to work specifically with platinum tools EZ-RJ45 crimper. The crimper itself has a very solid quality feel to it.
The photo shows a strain relief with the cable, which are obviously sold separately.
This review is from: Vivotek FE8171V 3.1MP, Vandal-Proof, 1.2" Fisheye Lens IP Camera
Pros: SUPER HAPPY WITH THIS CAMERA. Vivotek FE8171V does a 360 degree view with NO moving parts. That means this camera is going to last ...a lot longer than a moving part PTZ. It's all in the lens design/software. The video on Youtube sold me and with just this single camera I was able to get rid of 6 low quality analog cameras that you couldnt even see a detailed image with! The V at the end stands for Vandal proof just FYI to everyone. This also means its going to withstand harsh conditions outside where dust and rain might cause damage. I've seen that happen with other cameras in the past. Infrared/Night vision works well too. 2 year warranty is a BIG bonus.
Cons: Wish they made it in black like some of Vivotek's other cameras.
Other Thoughts: wasn't sure if the FE8172 version would be worth it for the extra bit of money. At 5MP you could get more detail out of further zooms but FE8171 works well for most applications.READ FULL REVIEW
