Pros: This case can be cooled very well. Feet lift it higher then normal so you can put it on a short rug.
While I would prefer the white model the red one is good.
Cons: I use dvds and cds it does not have a place for them. The top of the case has a cool shape so I can not use a small external player as the top is not level. So this is more of a true gamer case.
I marked it 3 star for no place for disc player 1 star off
and it came with a dent right where the psu slides in. So the psu did not fit without some careful metal work bend the psu opening back into place.
Other Thoughts: I am an Eggspert reviewer and since I will use this case for mining Eth coin and gaming it will be good for me. I will drop in a biostar z170 mother board and use 2 gpus. I will run it 24/7/365.
Note I only opened this case examined it and just started to fit the psu into place.
I have quite a few carbide corsair cases. That are okay for mining/gaming but are just a bit too hard to cool off. When I get this case fully working I will compare the cooling ability to the carbide corsair case i have. Case does look pretty cool to the eye. Based on packing I wonder if other people will have the bent psu opening.
Pros: Perfect flawless working since last August .
Cons: It died after 8 1/2 months
Other Thoughts: This was a simple nice build,
1 Nvidia 980 gpu.
1 samsung 2tb ssd
1 seagate 2tb hdd
a 850 watt seasonic gold psu.
an asus dvd burner all in a corsair carbide case.
Build ran perfect for months then a blue screen
then it won't post no matter what I do.
I pull all parts off the mobo.
tested all parts with an asus mobo.
the intel 6600k cpu is not detected on the asus mobo but the asus mobo does detect my 6500k cpu.
So I have two possibilities the cpu died in the mobo at stock settings with a really good cooler on it. The mobo cpu socket surged and killed off the cpu. I am not putting in my 6500k cpu to test the mobo since the mobo if defective may kill off a second cpu. So I rma'd the mobo today sunday and now await an answer from gigabyte on the rma.
To give it 1 star is not fair as I am not sure if this is a defective cpu or a defective mobo.
When the new mobo gets back to me I will see if it runs the 'dead' 6600k cpu.
I hate troubleshooting and getting a result like this as risking 200 dollar cpu's to test a mobo is not something I want to do.
I will let newegg readers know how easy it is to rma this and my cost to do so. The postage at a minimum from New Jersey to California is about 16 usd.
I think a 3 is a fiar number since I did get use from it. But I think a fail like this is not acceptable. As no gear was overclocked. Cpu ran very cool as did all parts of the gear.
Pros: It is small and low cost.
Cons: Can't get it to work.
Other Thoughts: This is a newegg eggxpert review. I accepted it because I could use it with one of my mining pc's.
I am mining ETH coin on 3 different pc's one pc has the habit of dropping its internet connection 1 or 2 times a day.
I thought this could be more stabile. So far the driver won't load.
I will get back if I get it to work or if it never works.
