Pros: Solid design, no issues of any kind during installation
Cons: Not a con per se, but the "assistant" fans are annoying at standard speeds (4500+ RPM). However, the ASUS Thermal Radar software can let you set it to lower speeds and keep them there
Overall Review: I strongly recommend you clear CMOS and then update the BIOS before first POST
Verification Process is a Failure
Pros: Digital delivery and a much lower price for students and teachers.
Cons: The way the process works is you go to a website (listed in the details section) and submit a bunch of information to verify you are indeed a current student/teacher somewhere. Unfortunately, the only way to contact the place is through a web form. 2 weeks and 3 form submissions later there's been no word from them and now I'm having to go the route of contact Adobe directly. If that doesn't work, I'll be returning the software to Newegg.
Overall Review: Nothing against Newegg or Adobe. I would stay away from this product and buy directly from your school to avoid the hassle.
Pros: No issues during installation, no coil whine, fairly quiet (in a not so quiet case/environment) even at load, very functional OC software from Sapphire
Cons: One of the fans rattled at a certain speed range, but I resolved it by tightening all the screws attaching it to the plastic casing (I hope I resolved it anyways)
Overall Review: Purchased July 2012. November of 2014 I discovered 1 fan not working so I replaced them both (no way to get just one fan because of cabling) with a pair of exact likeness fans. Today the card died with graphical artifacts and system freezes. So figure almost 4 years with this card and no issues beyond the rattle in the beginning, the fan dying, and now the card itself dying. Still quite happy with it, although I wish I could have gotten more life out of it. Still, it was in a heavy use environment and handled everything thrown at it.
Great Power Supply
Pros: The fan can be set to stay on all the time and the design is modular.
Cons: The cables aren't exactly perfect to my desires, but I think the solution to this is to make your own (which is well beyond my tech skills).
Overall Review: I've had this for 1 1/2 years now (in fact, recommending it to a friend of mine) and I couldn't be happier. I'm running a SSD, 2 Western Digital Black HD's, an high end motherboard (ASUS Sabertooth), 5 fans, an i7-3770K (not OC'ed), a Radeon HD 7950 (factory OC'ed) and 16gb of low voltage Samsung memory (also not OC'ed). Absolutely no issues that I'd attribute to the power supply. In actuality, I have no issues of any kind (knock on wood). I was hesitant when I first got this power supply, because I've always been an Antec fan and was also looking at Corsair.. but definitely no regrets on this purchase.
Works Now
Pros: Solid design, great length, moderately priced.
Cons: Had to RMA the first one. That's why it's 4 out of 5 instead of 5.
Overall Review: Followup to an earlier 1 egg review where the received cable didn't work. RMA'ed it through Newegg. The replacement was immediately, and properly, detected by my system and handled moving an 800mb test file from a flash drive without any issues.
Pros: No issues
Cons: None
