old suddenly
User error is huge
Pros: So good. got it specifically for use with intense minecraft shaders, and did not dissapoint
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: tricky install. Maybe its just me, coming from an OLD card (9800 GT) but you need to make sure both 6 and 8 pins are provided power on top or you will get black screen.
Decent Cooling, but Cheap pins/ bendy fins
Pros: Decent cooling, a little on the warm side. keeps me around 40c at all times, looks pretty interesting in a clear case
Cons: FINS bend wayyyy too easily - once they're bent, theyll never be just right and it looks sloppy. Even worse - cheap plastic pins make it almost impossible to attach. they slide/pop out all the time now. Time for a new sink... preferably with screws/washers.
Overall Review: if you don't spend alot of time fiddling around, the price is right and it does its job.
Quiet, weak LEDs
Pros: Definitely quiet, moves more air than the stock generic 200mm fan on my thermaltake v1.
Cons: The LEDs are barely noticable, especially through a black filter.
Overall Review: Looks good with the red shock absorbers. I assume that adds to the quietness. no plastic touching plastic.
Bright for a day
Pros: Well they were fantastically bright for about a day.
Cons: Died on day 2. No reaction to any power or anything. Also they're not red, they're orange. it's a distinct contrast next to my red fans. The adhesive on the velcro did not keep them attached to the case upside down. On the third day after they died, one side came unglued and hung down, on both sides.
Overall Review: I want to love these but they just don't work. I see alot of the other reviews singing praises so I'm pretty sad. Newegg gave me a refund without RMA so that was nice.
ENDURANCE
Pros: I've had this PSU for about 3-4 years now, still going strong. I just recently snapped the clip of the main board connector, had no effect on it. still fits in snug, you can even yank on it and it won't come out. Also, I host a minecraft server with this, so my computer is basically on 24/7.
Cons: its not COMPLETELY modular, the main 3 cords arent disconnectable, but you shouldn't need to take them out (there is one, the 8 pin, that i dont use but meh)
Overall Review: I will report back when this one dies, i expect another few years out of it
Quick?
Pros: I am biased coming from a 1.5 gb/s 7200rpm 500gb HDD to this, but its just... so fast. on sata 3, boots windows 8 in 7 seconds. what more can you ask for
Cons: ??? the sticker is different? but who cares PC did NOT see it at first. Reset to bios, it shows up in bios. went to disk manager, its not there. went to device manager, its there. restart again. go to disk manager. SUPRISE, a disk needs to be allocated. I don't get what the heck was the problem but its working great now. I wanted to check it out before doing a fresh windows install.
Overall Review: it so tiny. tiny litle babby ssd. so cute.
