Great....Once Setup

NETGEAR PTV2000-100NAS Push2TV HD-TV Adapter for Intel Wireless Display
NETGEAR PTV2000-100NAS Push2TV HD-TV Adapter for Intel Wireless Display

Pros: Great picture and sound quality.

Cons: Setup was challenging on my W8 x64 HP DV7 Laptop.

Overall Review: I had to contact Netgear day-1 after not being able to get a connection to work....and I have been a techie for years. I had no problem associating the ptv2000 with my laptop....it just would not stay connected. The connection would last about 3-5 seconds and die with nothing appearing on the screen ever. Working with Netgear I uninstalled my current Intel PROSet wireless drivers and installed the W7 x64 drivers that carried the Intel My WiFi setup - Wireless_15.1.0_s64.exe After loading those drivers I loaded the My WiFi application and enabled My WiFi and then connected to ptv2000 still using the current WiDi software 3.5.40.0 (as of 2/8/2013) Connection occurred and ptv2000 downloaded and updated to the latest drivers. I was able to connect and see my laptop and watch HD content without issue. Great picture and sound. I then upgraded my PROSet wireless drivers back up to the current release and retried connecting. Same as before....association worked fine but the connection would drop in a 2-3 seconds. I brought up the network and sharing center to see what was happening with connections during the association with the ptv2000. I could see that when the association started there was a new wireless connection created and it would die within the 2-3 seconds. I decided I wanted to look at the properties of the connection. I started the association and when the connection appeared in the connection center I opened it up before it could close to look at the properties. I discovered in the properties of the IP4 driver on the connection that the IP and DNS address where both set to fixed with nothing in the boxes. I changed the setting to auto for both IP address and DNS and then let the connection close. I then tried connecting to the ptv2000 and it connected fine and has been working excellent since. Sorry for the long post but I figured others may run into this situation and this could be a good resource for correcting the issue quickly.
