Great for the price!

TCL 50" 1080p 120Hz LED TV - LE50FHDE3010M
TCL 50" 1080p 120Hz LED TV - LE50FHDE3010M

Pros: at $400 this is a fantastic deal, picture is great, HDMI works great and my PC connects better than my RCA.

Cons: I'm really picky, so these aren't complaints, more like quirks. 1. You cannot got to channel 5.1 by hitting 5. 2. You can store favorite channels but you can't go through them without bringing up a menu that covers half the picture. 3. The input button from the remote is weird, I don't know if mine is broken but it works on first press and then you get stuck on whatever the next input is. The one on the tv works better. 4. Smelled like electric burn in for a few days. Again, just being really picky.

Overall Review: I highly recommend this TV, the packaging was risky but mine arrived in good order.

Had it a few months, then...

ASUS Vivobook 17 Thin and Light Laptop 17.3" FHD AMD Ryzen 3 3250U up to 3.50 GHz Radeon Vega 3 Graphics 20GB DDR4 RAM 512GB SSD+1TB HDD Keypad USB-C HDMI Wi-Fi Mytrix Wireless Mouse Win 10

Pros: Works great when it works... light, sleek... 17" screen!

Cons: It began by randomly booting to the bios instead of the OS, then today it no longer boots at all, it sporadically asks for installation media when it's not just sitting in the bios screen (hint, they don't give us any) ... 4 months and it's a paper weight.

Overall Review: Cannot recommend this as their QA is clearly squat. Whatever drive they put in here appears to sporadically disappear until it just stops working altogether.

Check the return policy.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Plug-in Card Graphics Card ZT-70605-10M
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Plug-in Card Graphics Card ZT-70605-10M

Pros: The card is pretty slick and works on old hardware.

Cons: The HDMI port stopped working after 1 use but we didn't realize it for too long and apparently, per our invoice, Newegg explicitly states no manufacturer warranty even though the product page claims 2 years.

Overall Review: This card is probably great if you don't get a defective one, but trying to get Zotac to honor an invoice that explicitly states "non-replaceable" rather then the: Limited Warranty period (parts): 2 years Limited Warranty period (labor): 2 years ...claimed on the product page is going to be a challenge. Pretty disappointed in Newegg.

Great for the price!

XFX One R-Series Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 Low Profile Ready Graphics Card ON-XFX1-PLS2
XFX One R-Series Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 Low Profile Ready Graphics Card ON-XFX1-PLS2

Pros: Great price after rebate! Wow. Worked great in my Optiplex 380. Runs my games pretty good!

Cons: Uses 2 slots in low profile and cable isn't really long enough to fit it on the right of the card, only the left. I managed to get it on the right but only by stretching the ribbon cable. Could of used a few more mms on the length.

Overall Review: Rebate hoops are pretty steep. So even without the rebate this is a decent card, but it took about 20 minutes to do all of the steps they required.

Works great for a few days.

Seagate Momentus XT ST500LX003 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Hybrid Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Momentus XT ST500LX003 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Hybrid Drive Bare Drive

Pros: This drive worked great initially. I was expecting that it would take some time to learn what to store on the drive, but it really seemed to go quicker than I expected.

Cons: After about a month I had noticed a pattern that made me realize that I couldn't let my computer sleep. If I allowed it to sleep upon return the HDD light would stay on solid for 5 to 10 minutes. (another reviewer points this out)... So I tried leaving it on, as it turns out any activity after periods of inactivity cause these 5 to 10 minute seizures. My 7200 was faster and I'm going back to it.

Overall Review: I wish they had a utility that would just allow me to specify which folders to keep on the SSD and bypass whatever flawed algorithm they have. As a developer it seems obvious to me that low level algorithms could not possibly "know" enough to accurately optimize the storage & they only add overhead to processing. The concept is good, but wait for a drive that has a management utility to allow manual allocation of SSD space, or for SSD prices to drop far enough. So far I have to write Hybrid SSD off as hype.
