Works perfectly

StarTech.com MUYHSMFF Headset adapter for headsets with separate headphone / microphone plugs - 3.5mm 4 position to 2x 3 position 3.5mm M/F
StarTech.com MUYHSMFF Headset adapter for headsets with separate headphone / microphone plugs - 3.5mm 4 position to 2x 3 position 3.5mm M/F

Pros: - Flexible cable works well with laptop composite audio ports. - Solid connection with all connections, so far.

Overall Review: Allows use of a wired after-market microphone, such as Antlion, with my laptops. Very happy with being able to use comfy headphones while taking video calls working from home. Detection that I'm plugging in both headphones and a microphone (essentially a headset) does not happen automatically with one of my laptops (running Windows 10). Another of my laptops (running Ubuntu) does detect everything correctly, but sometimes needs me to unplug/replug at the beginning of audio calls, to detect the device. I suspect these are software issues though.

Be sure your card can do TV out through VGA

Insten 675715 VGA / SVGA to S-Video / RCA Adapter, Nickel-Plated
Insten 675715 VGA / SVGA to S-Video / RCA Adapter, Nickel-Plated

Pros: Nifty and cheap compared to a converter.

Cons: Only works with specific video cards. Check before you purchase!

Overall Review: I bought this without reading the full description, none of my cards have the VGA to TV-out capability.

Works great

GIGABYTE GM-FORCE M7 THOR Black 5 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 6000 dpi Gaming Mouse
GIGABYTE GM-FORCE M7 THOR Black 5 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 6000 dpi Gaming Mouse

Pros: Nice mouse for $21.99. I have a larger hand, so the size feels much better than most other mice.

Cons: DPI switch is easy to nudge. (It sits right on top of the mouse.) I haven't hit it that often, but it can be a little annoying if you forget to double check the level if the speed feels off.

Does the job but has quirks.

LINKSYS BEFSR81 EtherFas Cable/DSL Router 1 x 10Mbps WAN Ports 8 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports
LINKSYS BEFSR81 EtherFas Cable/DSL Router 1 x 10Mbps WAN Ports 8 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports

Pros: Works beautifully routing 8 computers with multiple ports forwarded and 24/7 network activity.

Cons: Web administration page will not come up after about 3 days of uptime. A quick reset will bring it back, but this is a big inconvenience if the network should not be going down. I am using v2.51.4.006 of the firmware.

Overall Review: There is no setting on the router itself to set 'static' IP's, you must configure these at the devices themselves.
