Great with a bonus feature!
Pros: Drive adapter is detachable and usable on other drives. This is perfect for emergencies when you need to hook up a different SATA drive. It's fast and quiet. Works great in my car for HUGE media storage.
Cons: Hidden Microsoft reserved parition made it unusable with my Ford SYNC system, and was difficult to remove, but that's more of a Windows thing than a problem with this specific drive.
Overall Review: I can't tell you how much I like the detachable SATA interface that can be used with other drives. That makes this drive for me!
Updated software helps - but there are better choices
Pros: - Decent hardware. - Software is still clunky to use, but not nearly as bad as it used to be. - Memory leak gone. - Tech support did respond.
Cons: - Software is still really not that good. It works. It's better than it used to be, but it could use a lot of improvement. - Can be difficult to get the puck to attach properly to the screen.
Overall Review: I really wish my old Huey Pro hadn't died. That just worked great. Also, I will be taking another reviewer's advice and trying out the open source offerings. I would no longer recommend completely avoiding this product, but for this price you can do better.
UPDATED
Pros: - Huge feature set - Plenty of services and apps to add - Intuitive setup and configuration - Can do media transcoding
Cons: - Performance could be a bit better, but is perfectly fine for the price range
Overall Review: Second time's the charm. My new unit is working flawlessly and has uptime over 2 days now. Moving large files goes relatively quickly, but lots (1million) of small files (into an indexed folder) is a slow process.
Fast and stable
Pros: Stable. Fast. Compatible.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: This was purchased to upgrade the factory 8GB in my laptop (ThinkPad W520) to a full 16GB. It works great and hasn't given me any issues in 6+ months of continuous use.
Great inexpesive keyboard
Pros: This is a great budget keyboard. It has a good, crisp feel. The LEDs are bright and I had no compatibility issues in either Linux or Windows. As a bonus, it even works nicely on my iPad using the camera adapter's USB plug. (The iPad complains that it's not compatible, but it works fine.)
Cons: The placement of the three rows of keys above the arrow keys between the main keyboard and the numeric pad is non-standard. This takes some getting used to and has caused some typos due to my muscle memory wanting these keys to be one row higher.
Overall Review: This would be a 5-star keyboard if all of the keys were in the right place.
Fantastic!
Pros: Incredibly fast. Great bang for the buck. Huge capacity. If you know how to set it up, you'll be thrilled.
Cons: Can be difficult to set up. Mine require a BIOS upgrade on a fairly recent Gigabyte motherboard before it would get recognized as a boot device.
Overall Review: This product had a single 1-star rating when I bought it, so I was a little worried. I shouldn't have been. This isn't for beginners, though. It takes some effort and experimentation to get set up. B ut once it is set up, it's rock solid.
