This review is from: Rosewill RIKB-11001 X-Slim Keyboard with Low Profile Chiclet Keycap Design- Retail
Pros: This is a great budget keyboard. It has a good, crisp feel. The LEDs are bright and I had no compatibility issues in either Linux or Windows. As a bonus, it even works nicely on my iPad using the camera adapter's USB plug. (The iPad complains that it's not compatible, but it works fine.)
Cons: The placement of the three rows of keys above the arrow keys between the main keyboard and the numeric pad is non-standard. This takes some getting used to and has caused some typos due to my muscle memory wanting these keys to be one row higher.
Other Thoughts: This would be a 5-star keyboard if all of the keys were in the right place.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Incredibly fast. Great bang for the buck. Huge capacity. If you know how to set it up, you'll be thrilled.
Cons: Can be difficult to set up. Mine require a BIOS upgrade on a fairly recent Gigabyte motherboard before it would get recognized as a boot device.
Other Thoughts: This product had a single 1-star rating when I bought it, so I was a little worried. I shouldn't have been. This isn't for beginners, though. It takes some effort and experimentation to get set up. B ut once it is set up, it's rock solid.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: X-Rite ColorMunki Display
Pros: Hardware does its job, I guess, but it's hampered by awful software.
Cons: Software has massive memory leaks. After having my computer on for a few days, I noticed the Tray software was using 1.1GB(!!!) of memory. I restarted it and it was initially at around 10MB. After less than an hour, it's up to 50MB.
The software hasn't been updated in 15 months, so that's not looking good. It's shocking that it hasn't been updated given the severity of this bug.
I will be contacting x-rite customer support to see what they will do. Hopefully, the let me return this and get something better.
Other Thoughts: I'm downgrading my review to one star because the software makes the hardware basically unusable. No updates with this kind of bug is inexcusable.READ FULL REVIEW
