Works well!

HighPoint RocketRAID 2640x1 PCI-Express x1 Four-Port SATA and SAS RAID Controller Card
HighPoint RocketRAID 2640x1 PCI-Express x1 Four-Port SATA and SAS RAID Controller Card

Pros: Works well to setup a RAID with 3TB (or larger drives) under Windows 7 - right out of the box and got it working on first try. The interface to setup up the RAID runs through your web browser - and can be set to allow remote access. It's almost been a install-and-forget.

Cons: I didn't try to setup the RAID from the card as a boot drive - that can be more work. I noticed support for that, but have not tried it.

Worked fine, then died

CORSAIR Flash Voyager 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFVY3-32GB
CORSAIR Flash Voyager 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFVY3-32GB

Pros: Precisely what it said it was - admittedly I knew a 32gig flash stick was going to be intrinsically slower. I never tested it on USB 3.0, however.

Cons: Died shortly before 3 months of use; I decided to back it up in the afternoon after using it in the morning. When I plugged it in to backup, it was dead.

Overall Review: I'm going to see how well the warranties on this item are honored.

Good so far

NETGEAR 24 Port Gigabit Unmanged Plus Business-Class Rackmount Switch - Lifetime Warranty (JGS524E)
NETGEAR 24 Port Gigabit Unmanged Plus Business-Class Rackmount Switch - Lifetime Warranty (JGS524E)

Pros: Works pretty much as advertised. You could handle this as an unmanaged switch. The bundled config utility (don't forget to online and get the update just in case) does offer a number of features.

Cons: So far, I haven't been able to verify that I'm getting 2000 on any adapter that supports that (that's gigabit with duplex). I'm slightly concerned, but will continue to poke with that. I bought this to replace a 24 port gigabit switch that didn't support the duplex settings.

Overall Review: Terrific price in general, and the fact that I'm getting a small subset of managed features is incredible.

Worked well for a time

CORSAIR Flash Voyager 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFVY3-32GB
CORSAIR Flash Voyager 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model CMFVY3-32GB

Pros: 32 gig as advertised, never tested the USB 3.0 part. I really liked the rubberized surface and cap, and liked what I heard about the cap replacement.

Cons: I backup my flash drive every few weeks. I went to back it up on Friday afternoon after using it on a couple of machines, and it just didn't mount and blinked and eventually asked to be reformatted.

Overall Review: I'm going to try and see how well the warranty procedure works; I do understand that new items may get problers during burn in, but this a bit longer than burn in. If the warranty is honored, and the replacement lasts a while, then I will be satisfied. However, can't stress enough: BACKUP YOUR USB DRIVES IF YOU DEPEND ON THEM AT ALL.
