Pros: looks really nice sitting on my desk.

Cons: It doesn't work. It won't recognize connections - tried dvi and vga - and when I tried opening the menu to reset (as suggested by a person at Asus who responded to my cry for help) the menu would not come up. When I contacted Asus to let them know this, their response was to contact new egg for a return.

Overall Review: I've heard very good things about this brand. I am very disappointed, but when I contacted Asus, they got back to me within the hour. Maybe it was just luck in my timing, but it's good to know they stand behind their products and are responsive to inquiries.

Pros: These speakers are designed for travel - they are small and easy to transport. I like how they cling together and although the pouch may not be the best thing made, it is handy for storing the speakers and cables. The sound is clear. I have had no problems with static. The speakers get loud enough for a hotel room and are better than the ones on my laptop. The end of the cables that plug into each speaker is wide and provides a base that allows the speaker to stand up. the cables to each speaker are a little more than three feet long, so you can get pretty good separation.

Cons: You get what you pay for. They do not have a huge sound, and if you are looking for rich middles and deep lows, look elsewhere. The cord design could have been better - three cables from the USB, one going to the headphone jack and the other two to the speakers is kind of awkward, especially when I am not running it to the computer but using a USB power adapter so I can listen to my mp3 device.

Overall Review: Overall, I am satisfied with the speakers. They do the job well enough. I travel and want a little more sound than the laptop can give me, and the speakers do provide that. When I want to listen to my mp3 player while in a hotel, they work fine for that. I'd rather have a little more bass response and a sweeter mid-range, but for what I paid, I am satisfied. I would like to see the cable redesigned, but it's not really an issue with the laptop. If you just need something basic that doesn't take too much space in your bag, these speakers are fine.
