Works as advertised
Pros: Compact, light and well built, sips power, decent performance, silent, easy requirements. Install latest drivers from NVidia rather than Asus' website.
Cons: Asus tweak UI software is a bit clunky and dated looking. While it mostly works, the UI could be smaller and more efficient. Not to mention it looks like the style en vogue 10 years ago. I'd recommend Asus to make the UI more efficient in screen space and use flatter colors to match modern windows themes more. But that latter note is personal taste I guess.
Overall Review: I do light gaming (LOL and TF2) with no heavy hardware requirements from my HTPC/audio content creation box. This box was built to be silent, with only 2 fans in the whole system, one on the CPU, and a case fan. It was built in 2012, and still today I can barely hear it when there is no noise outside. I have a 400W seasonic fanless PSU, and wanted to upgrade from the integrated GPU to improve frame rates in LOL, while not compromising the system quietness. Also, I was under obvious PSU constraints. This card fit the bill. It installed fine. Initial testing in LOL revealed my FPS went form 30 to 140 with all settings maxed out. The card is not especially taxed, either. GPU temps went up to 55c on average during game play, which was not even high enough to kick in the fans. I have them set to go in at 65. I did get them going eventually, though I saw them move but I could not hear them with my head 3 feet away. So mission accomplished. I have significant gameplay improvement, no extra noise and a small increase in power consumption. The GPU is VERY good at powering down when you stop taxing it. It clocks down and sips power. I haven't watched videos yet, but I suspect it would make a great HTPC card from what I've seen.
Poor color
Pros: Came from New egg. Light, good build.
Cons: I received a Rev 01 model. The white has a yellow tinge. Doesn't look great at all. I want to return it.
Pretty solid kit
Pros: - Good timings and quality hardware
Cons: - Tall heat spreader. The RAM is flush with the heatsink and I had to slide my CPU fan up to accommodate it. I recommend taking measurements before buying. - Getting some errors with CPU at 4ghz, may not work at the advertised speed.
Overall Review: Just posting here to report my results with Trident Z Neo F4-4000C18D-64GTZN. Yesterday I ran some torture tests with Prime95 and some memory tests with OCCT. Unfortunately, Prime 95 returned an error after 20 minutes when my CPU was pegged at 4ghz (40 clock multiplier in Bios), the RAM had the XMP setting of 4ghz. I turned down the CPU clock multiplier to 38 (3.8ghz max), and ran Prime 95 for 13 hours WITHOUT errors. Also passed OCCT and Blender benchmarks just fine. The system seems quite stable. I wonder if I'll ever be able to run the CPU at 4ghz with these RAM sticks. I only have XMP turned on, so maybe there's something I can do to get stable results at 4ghz? Any suggestions would be great. All in all, I think it's safe to say that this particular RAM kit works for X570s Aorus Master Rev 1.0.
Good value proposition
Pros: reasonably priced, easy install, adequate quality for its use, good compromise between a low and a heavy heatsink.
Cons: -decent performance, but not stellar.
Overall Review: Does not lower idle temps by much at all, but this is made up for during heavy use, where it counts. It seems temps don't rise as much. So does it's job overall. May not be enough for very demanding setups.
Performance dropped after 6 months of use, LOUD...
Pros: - one the of few AIO's to cover the entire chip. - Solid feel on the build of the radiator and pump - Mounting setup is good and simple.
Cons: - Fans are extremely loud at full, or even half. 25% speed is probably where you'd find the noise acceptable while the CPU idles, or while browsing... - I noticed my CPU temps at idle are higher as time goes by. I'm now idling about 10-15 degrees higher than I was when I first installed. Nothing has changed in my set up since. I only realized this because I noticed my fans spinning up to full way more often. It used to be when I pushed a real load on the CPU (like encoding or rendering). Now, even when I'm launching a browser, or doing simple things, the fans spin up all the time. This caused me to start monitoring temps a bit more closely, and to realize they are higher than they should be, and have been in the past. To boot, the fans are obnoxiously loud when revved up to 50% and higher. From reading a lot of reviews, I'm concerned about deterioration in the cooling ability due to internal issues. Going to initiate an RMA for sure. This cooler is installed in a $6000 workstation, i don't need the latter to get ruined because of a flaw in the liquid cooler. The Threadripper is a high end CPU, I would expect high quality in the components designed for it.
Overall Review: 2 Stars may be a low rating, but when it comes to an AIO cooler failing on a$1k CPU, the consequences can be disastrous, and I'm inclined to warn others about this.
Great value at the sale price
Pros: - fantastic comfort - good sound
Cons: - open air ear cup, so doesn't dampen outside noise - doesn't come with a 1/4" jack adapter.... really?
Friendly service
I bought a laptop battery from them, which was defective, they were prompt to RMA and credited me for shipping, which was nice. The replacement battery is also defective, but the problem came about just after the 30 day warranty period. I'm out of luck.
