Excellent!
Pros: Excellent monitor! Good colors, deep gray/black, and good response time for gaming (bf3).
Cons: Heavy.
Overall Review: Just wanted to clarify some misleading information posted by another user for this monitor. First of all, this monitor is an AH-IPS, not P-IPS. Moreover, Dell's U2711, U2411, and U3011 are all H-IPS, not S-IPS. S-IPS came out in 1998 and H-IPS was recently developed in 2007. Please get your facts straight. A quick search on Dell's website will confirm these facts. Also, to give this monitor 1 egg because it is not supposedly a "real IPS" is puerile and misleading to other potential purchasers. Out of curiosity, why would someone who owns a U2711 spend $699 for a LCD so he could place it side to side with the U2711 to further scrutinize this monitor? If you knew it was a P-IPS (even though it isn't), why waste the money since it's not a "real IPS."? I'd recommend doing research if you still have doubts. But don't let the 1 egg dissuade you from giving this monitor a chance.
The Best
Pros: Besides TY, these are the best blank discs on the market at the moment. Have burned over 2000 of these discs and probably have had 7-8 bad ones. That's about 0.4% failure rate.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: For those that gave these discs a 1 star rating, either check your software or your burner again. Your burner may be able to burn mediocre blank media but probably won't handle these premier discs. Please also check what type of burner you're using. I've used Plextor and LG over 8 years with these discs and they go exceptionally well hand in hand.
The Best
Pros: Fast, relatively cheap compared to Taiyo Yuden. Reliable and dependable!!! 1st-tier discs
Cons: None
Overall Review: I have burned over 1500 of these discs and only 6 have failed so far. Incredible!!! Pair it up with a reputable burner like Plextor and you can't go wrong. If you keep getting coasters with these discs, then it's probably your setup and not the discs themselves.
Fast
Pros: Fast. Easy to setup
Cons: None.
Overall Review: No BSOD. Stable. I don't know why others are complaining that this drive gives them BSOD. Been running it for 1 straight month with only 2 reboots so far and no problems.
Very Fast
Pros: Very fast. Upgraded from a Core 2 Duo and I'm very happy. Runs everything with ease. Runs cools. Idling at 28C with a Zalman 9500 and hits 48C under heavy load.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Takes like 10 seconds to install the CPU and 5 minutes to install the heatsink. If you can't get this CPU to work properly, then you shouldn't consider building a PC.
Fast Blazing Card
Pros: 1) Very fast! Running BF3 on Ultra setting @50-70 fps. 2) Superclocked and it idles at 30C at a fan speed of 2300 rpm 3) Easy installation for one card or SLI 4) Surprised to see that this card can idle at 30C and has never exceeded 60C under heavy load. In fact, there have been some reviews on newegg that mentioned that this card ran hot (70-80C). That's why I'm surprised because I have been playing BF3 for 10 hours plus daily under ultra setting and this card maxes out at 60C. I think this is due the fact that I've been using EVGA precision software to manually adjust the fan speed. I've been setting the fan speed to 3600 rpm while playing intensive games. Make sure to adjust the fan on this video card appropriately to keep it from getting extremely hot.
Cons: 1) The card is very long. Almost one foot. So buy a case that is large enough to house this beast.
Overall Review: I was lazy so I used the CD that came with the package to install the driver. Windows booted fine but turned black and kept restarting. I had to manually download the most recent driver on Nvidia's website to reinstall the driver for the video card. Problem fixed!
