Fine little router, so long as you accept its limitations

ASUS RT-N12/D1 Wireless-N300 3-in-1 Router/AP/Range Extender IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n manufactured recertified
ASUS RT-N12/D1 Wireless-N300 3-in-1 Router/AP/Range Extender IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n manufactured recertified

Pros: Reliable, although not capable of feeding a 250Mb/s internet connection, its perfectly suited to functioning as a secondary router to expand coverage - perfect for walling off interference from neighbors if that's your problem. Inexpensive, which is why it's perfect for building out a network.

Cons: 2.4Ghz only, but you should know that by the two antennas. No USB ports, but 8MB of flash means you can use JFFS.

Overall Review: A great little access point, suitable for expanding networks with greater range and coverage. Disable DHCP, give it an IP in your subnet, and stitch your main router to this one over LAN ports (Ethernet). Would work fine for lower-end internet connectivity (50Mb and less) provided you don't go crazy and try to load the router up with features. If you buy the refurb, read up on how to put the router in recovery mode and have a new firmware ready to flash. Don't expect to just plug it in, turn it on, and have it work perfectly out of the box - it might, but holding down a button for 10 seconds is a lot easier, not to mention cheaper, than paying for return shipping. I bought two expecting at least one of them to be DOA given all the reports... zero problems, but I didn't even try to boot until I had loaded my firmware via the recovery mode website.

Says what it does, does what it says

Vantec NexStar CX SuperSpeed 2.5" SATA to USB 3.0 External Hard Drive/SSD Enclosure (Supports 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm HDD/SSD) - Model NST-200S3-BK
Vantec NexStar CX SuperSpeed 2.5" SATA to USB 3.0 External Hard Drive/SSD Enclosure (Supports 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm HDD/SSD) - Model NST-200S3-BK

Pros: Fits 12.5mm drives and smaller without issues. Metal case, so it radiates heat far better than plastic (an insulator) cases. If you insert the drive and it binds due to the internal pads (used to prevent the drive from rattling around the case), remove the drive, rotate 180 degrees, and re-insert. You don't need to go through a lengthy disassembly, just flip the drive around.

Cons: Wish it came in flavors with 1394b and eSATA.

Overall Review: Basic case with basic performance for a budget price, but superior to the plastic cases sold for the same price.
