Barely lasted a month
Pros: Fast RAM. Easy installation.
Cons: Bought on June 5th, one module already failed by July 13th. This was recommended by NewEgg for my Intel NUC NUC5i5RYK but Crucial's site recommended a completely different module for replacement. Not sure what happened. *shrug* Just have to get another set from them I guess.
Good Laptop, not quite VR ready
Pros: This laptop performs nicely and is great for gaming. The graphics work great and the fan is not too loud when working on Turbo mode.
Cons: Despite being advertised as VR Ready, I was unable to use the thunderbolt port for my HTC Vive Cosmos Elite. The on-screen prompts said that the Thuderbolt port needed to be tied to the graphics card, which does not appear to be the case. Addendum: I bought this laptop within the last month and the battery is completely dead. It displays as 100% after several hours, but the second I unplug it, the device dies. If I plug it back in, it will display a completely depleted battery. So disappointing because otherwise, the laptop works great. I am dropping my rating due to the battery issue. I love Asus products, but this particular fault makes me sad.
Overall Review: If you just need a solid gaming machine for a reasonable price, I recommend this laptop. If you are going to use it for VR Gaming though, I would look elsewhere.
