Great for HTPC

XFX HD 6000 Radeon HD 6450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card HD-645X-ZQH2
XFX HD 6000 Radeon HD 6450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card HD-645X-ZQH2

Pros: Silent, low profile, built in Digital audio. Universal hardware video decoder. Comes with low profile bracket.

Cons: None so far...

Overall Review: Fit snug in to HP ProLiant Microserver-based HTPC with 1.3ghz dual core NEO. Plays all 1080p MKV, AVCHDs, MOVs, AVIs and anything I had in my database to through at it. Did not try 3D playback as I use PS3 for that.

Most Critical Review

Worked well while it lasted

Quad Interface Hot Swappable Dual Drive RAID w/ NTI Shadow Backup 4
Quad Interface Hot Swappable Dual Drive RAID w/ NTI Shadow Backup 4

Pros: Looks nice. Easy to remove hot swappable drives. Many interfaces. When drive stopped working I was able to recover information.

Cons: No explanation of error LED combinations in the user manual. No telephone support. Did not long enough for the price. Just a couple of years. No way to order a replacement part.

Overall Review: Bought Datadock II about two years ago. Now it looks like the board went bad. All LEDs are on and drive is not usable. Fortunately no data loss occurred as I was able to recover data by connecting one of the drives directly to SATA port on my PC. (the dock was used in mirror mode). Out of warranty repair was quoted to me by [...] at "Maximum repair charge for the DDQ Enclosure is $139.99+45$+Shipping". Be aware that there is no telephone support so be prepared to use their message board. For the price I would expect a longer lasting product, hence only two stars.

Stay away - DOA

ZyXEL NWD2105 Wireless N-lite Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 150Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: None

Cons: Semi-dead on arrival. W7 can't find the driver online. Device was recognized and installed properly buy can not be enabled. Enabling... ->Disabled. Tried new drivers from Zyxel's site. Tried on 3 different PCs and one Mac. - Junk doesn't work. Support website was down 2 out of 3 times I tried accessing it. Nowone answers the 800# I tried calling. newegg charges for return shipping. Will never buy Zyxel product again.

Overall Review: Stay away...

Beware

LG Blu-ray Player BD390
LG Blu-ray Player BD390

Pros: Works out of the box. Played almost everything until...

Cons: ... until I updated the Firmware (to BD.8.08.465.B). Then unit stopped seeing .MTS files on my network (it could never see them on the USB device to begin with), which I reported to LG 3 weeks ago). Wireless performance became unstable to the point where movies that played fine just a day ago are stuttering now and are unwatchable over the wireless network. Player can play the content of AVCHD .MTS file if I rename it to .MKV or .MPG. .MOV files could be played over the network, but can not be seen on the USB device. LG tech support is useless and is limited to repeating what is written in the manual. They claim there is no way to downgrade the firmware and that I have to return the unit for "repair" - unbelievable! Several tech support reps I spoke with (sitting somewhere in Asia it sounds) do not know words AVCHD and Matroska and have no clue about the file extensions ike .MTS which were supported by original firmware.

Overall Review: Do not upgrade the firmware if you have no issues with the factory version. The other unwelcome (from my point of view) feature added with new update is ability of the player to see the whole network and not just media server. For obviouse reasons I do not want my little son to find R-rated movie in some of my folders not intended to be shared ...

Not worse the money

Jabra Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset Black Bulk (BT2050)
Jabra Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headset Black Bulk (BT2050)

Pros: Small size, Light.

Cons: Where to start? Worst sound quality among three sets that I own. (I own Blue Ant and Motorola headsets). Unintuitive call activation button function - one must push and hold it, vs just pushing and releasing like on other headsets. The microphone quality is very poor. My HTC Touch HD and MS Voice Command have hard time understanding what I say, while two other sets have accuracy of close to 100%. Unit discharges in two-three weeks even if not used.

Overall Review: You get what you pay for...
