Most Favorable Review

Almost a year all stock never chokes

AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX
AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX

Pros: I run this in a day to day gaming machine as well as recording software, and some HD (What is HD but i digress) video editing and graphics . never gives me a problem. the fan isnt all that loud on quiet mode and temps do not raise dramatically . Case temp never gets abouve 50 degrees c , and thats with it being in a closed desk .

Cons: Not really any that I can think of, it is subject to the everyones build and uses like anything it may not do everything well , but i have yet to find any real flaws.

Overall Review: Best bang for the buck and it simply works well for me.

6 Months Great chip for the price

AMD FX-8120 - FX-Series Zambezi 8-Core 3.1 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8120FRGUBOX
AMD FX-8120 - FX-Series Zambezi 8-Core 3.1 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8120FRGUBOX

Pros: OS windows 7 64 , I am using mostly for goofing with a little gaming, audio recording with protools 7.4 and tracktion 4.1.2 . Running a virtual machine of xp constantly with some really load heavy iterator type stuff. Not a single complaint, with a 2006 video card at 512mb. Temps stay around 52c when cruising.

Cons: I hear the heat sink is hard to remove with out messing up the chip, so far not a problem for me, but the whole amd line is like that. If you an overclocker you should buy a high line chip as I could see this being a little sensitive to that.

Overall Review: If you are running any recording software this chip works great, I bought it for that and it does a great job. I edit some video as well and never even blinks at the work.
