Good piece
Coboc 2LP4PCIE8-6 6.1 in. Dual 4-pin Molex LP4 to 8 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Adapter Converter Cable
Pros: Quick and easy install. Allowed me to use my new evga htx 960 with my old 650ww power supply. It was alot cheaper than a new power supply.
Cons: It wasn't free, but close.
Overall Review: Some newer cards will work w/o the extra power cord, some will work with the 6 pin, but the 960 will only work with the 8.

had 1 set fail, but newegg replaced it in about 2 weeks
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-16GVKC
Pros: runs at rated speeds just fine, which puts it in the top 95% on user benchmarks with no further tweaks needed.
Cons: won't run at anything over rated speed. had one fail after about 2 weeks, causing random blue screens and game crashes. windows memory diagnostic was able to narrow it down almost instantly.
Overall Review: Newegg return policy saved the day.

Much better than expected
Rosewill PB240 CPU Liquid Cooler, Closed Loop PC Water Cooling, Quiet 240mm PWM Fans, Intel LGA 2011/2066/1366/1150/1151/1155/1156/775, AMD AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/AM1/FM2+/FM1
Pros: 4 pin fans, run silent until they are needed, then ramp up until it cools off. Very nice. Also included was a fan splitter, so you can still run 2 fans, even if your motherboard only has 1 fan connector. Overall the pump is quieter than j expected and temps are a few degrees lower than my last 240 aio.
Cons: Pump did make a few gurgling noises on the first startup, so it's not completely full, but hasn't made that noise since.
Overall Review: I got this on sale, and I really like it so far. We shall see for longevity...

Apevia CVTUSB32 USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 Converter Cable
Pros: Allows me to use the 3.0 ports at the front of my new case, even if they are working at 2.0 speeds.
Cons: Not the most flexible.
Overall Review: Works great, now all the ports at the front of my case work.

Pros: Cheap. Easy. Plug and play.
Cons: Not free. Would like to have seen it be modular. It'd be neat to have a 6 to 8 pin adapter with the second 8 pin being removable.
Overall Review: This let me run my new video card with my old power supply. Stretching my investment for yet another update.

It just works
Rosewill 9.5" EPS 8-Pin Male to ATX 4-Pin Female Cable with Cable Sleeve Model RCA-RU9.5-P8M-P4F
Pros: converts old P4 power supply to newer EPS8 standard. Keeps a good investment usable longer.
Cons: took a week to get here, Fedex smartpost is the worst way to ship anything. 3days to leave california and another 5 to get to michigan.
Overall Review: I'll use this until this power supply dies, or I get a newer board that needs something else.
