Most Favorable Review

Small form factor, big storage, top performance, attractive design

HGST 1TB Touro Mobile Pro External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model 0S03559 Black
HGST 1TB Touro Mobile Pro External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model 0S03559 Black

Pros: Largest (capacity) 2.5" portable HDD available at the time that is USB 3.0 and runs at 7,200 RPM. Runs cool and quiet even after formatting or writing files for hours. Enclosure design looks good for now.

Cons: Glossy surface was immediately scratched after peeling off the protective film. Attracts dust and fingerprints as well. Honestly I don't really care much about this.

Overall Review: Wish this form factor could hold more than 1 TB but there are no drives that have any more capacity in this size (with similar width and height). It seems manufacturers have hit a wall with this storage technology.

Again, perfect match for head unit with front USB

LaCie mosKeyto 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model 130981
LaCie mosKeyto 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model 130981

Pros: Exact form factor that I was looking for. Cheap and works.

Cons: None

Perfect companion for a netbook

LITE-ON External Ultra Slim DVD/CD Writer Model eNAU108-111
LITE-ON External Ultra Slim DVD/CD Writer Model eNAU108-111

Pros: Powered by USB Standard sized laptop optical drive Cheap

Cons: Retail packaging wasn't very good. Received the drive with a broken from tray cover because the drive was not seated properly in the foam packing. Lite-on would not cover under warranty so Newegg is replacing. I hate to have to send it back because it works fine other than a clip holding the tray cover on.

Overall Review: Recognized while booting so worked fine installing another OS to an Acer Aspire One D255.

Cheap and works

GeIL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model GX2S5300-2GB
GeIL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model GX2S5300-2GB

Pros: Recognized on first boot.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Works in Acer Aspire One D255. Getting to the memory is kind of tricky but use YouTube video "Acer Aspire One D255 Ram Upgrade" and it's not so bad.

Great for travel, seems heavy and small at first...

Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX
Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX

Pros: As it says "works anywhere" that I have tried. Have not tested on glass yet. Fits in my laptop case which is small. Hyper-scroll is useful though not utilized much. Batteries have lasted 5 months with daily use (~4 hours/day/5 days a week) Nano receiver Forward and back buttons are a must and their location on the same side is actually nicer, now that I've used it, than one on each side of the mouse. Case is nice and the mouse fits in perfectly.

Cons: Seems kind of heavy at first but I have gotten used to that Not as ergonomic as I had though. It took a while to get used to the shape of the mouse.

Wii Remote Companion

ASUS USB-BT21 USB 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Dongle
ASUS USB-BT21 USB 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Dongle

Pros: Small, cheap and name brand that can be trusted. Great price newegg!

Cons: Difficult at first to get working with my Wii Remotes.

Overall Review: The WIDCOMM drivers that come with this device do not allow you to pair/connect with the Wii Remotes without entering a passkey. There are older WIDCOMM drivers that are purported to work (5.1.0.1100) and the newest version of BlueSoleil does work but it costs close to $30. I ended up using the native Windows Bluetooth stack by editing the %windir%\inf\bth.inf file (in XP) to include the ASUS's PID and VID. Now my Wii remote connects without requiring a passkey and I can use them in Dolphin :D
