Western Digital WD Black WD2002FAEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Fast and has a large capacity for a good price

Cons: It seems quite a bit noisier than my previous hard drive. If that sort of things bothers you, I'd suggest getting a noise-dampening case like I did. It'll save your sanity.

Cooler Master GeminII S524 - CPU Cooler with Aluminum Fins and 5 Heatpipes
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: It's pretty quiet and keeps the CPU nice and cool.

Cons: Maybe it's just me but the installation instructions were quite confusing. I ended up needing to watch a YouTube video of a guy walking through the installation before it made sense. That's the only issue I had with it though.

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Fast and great for both multitasking and gaming. I can run multiple games, browsers, Photoshop, and other programs all at once without the performance of each being noticeably impacted. It's also a great price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I didn't go with the stock heatsink on the advice of a friend and I also have 3 case fans and plenty of ventilation so the CPU runs pretty cool. It's at about 30C right now and the highest I've seen it go so far is about 50C. I'd definitely recommend spending the extra $30-40 for a third-party heatsink, it's worth it.
