HP ProLiant N40L MicroServer Server System AMD Turion II Neo N40L 1.5GHz 2-Core 2GB (1 x 2GB) DDR3 1 x 250GB LFF SATA 658553-001

Pros: Loving the small form factor, tossed 2008 R2 on, and thanks to the additional 8gb, I'm running a sweet, cheap and quiet box to serve my stuff.

Cons: Does not make toast.

Overall Review: I had a pain getting 2008 to install, kept hanging. I think that's my fault with a scratched disc.

Most Critical Review

First $300 Wireless Router I've purchased, also, first returned.

NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band WiFi Router, Gigabit Ethernet, Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa (R8000)
NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band WiFi Router, Gigabit Ethernet, Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa (R8000)

Pros: It's big, perhaps something that can easily dissipate heat that it seems it would give off. Speed is impressive, when it works. Stealthy looking.

Cons: The bands/radios are flaky. Working one minute, not working the next. I've had to disable and re-enable the radio a few times too many now. That's hard to swallow when paying 2x the price of another perfectly good AC1900 unit.

Overall Review: V1.0.2.44_1.0.96 is the firmware, which I believe the admin console had me upgrade to on the first visit there. The last NETGEAR piece I bought was a 10/100 PCI adapter way back in like 1999, and I remember replacing that with an Intel Pro 100B, and haven't left Intel since. (Actually, I was coming from a 3com 3C905-B) Trying to change things up, I was feeling generous and looks like I'm going to go back to Asus for a while, only because 3Com is out of business. Shame too, I could have invited your Carlsbad employees over to watch this not work in action while enjoying my air-conditioned garage
