Great Monitor! Ghosting only occurs when not set properly.
Pros: -Size and adjust-ability -High refresh rate
Cons: -2560 x 1080 resolution -Monitor controls are a bit of a pain
Overall Review: I got this monitor for $499 on a cyber Monday sale and it has been great. When I first plugged it in I was having major ghosting like may others. However it is because windows dosent automatically change the software settings to 144hz. You need to go into the settings and change it yourself. Once I changed it in the system settings the monitor looked amazing. In addition if you game like I do you will need to make sure you disable vsync or change the FPS cap to match the monitor if you want the best performance Also use the supplied cables if you dont then make sure you do your homework because not all HDMI cables support 144hz. So even if your settings are correct in the software then it may still put out a much lower refresh rate due to the cables limitation. You can check to see this in the monitor menus under the information tab. It will tell you what refresh rate the monitor is actually receiving from your system. the monitor If you use display port you will be fine.
Logitech Wave Pro
Pros: Cordlees, Nice easy to customize controls, Very comfortable all around (mouse, keyboard and wrist support
Cons: Unforunatly dispite the excellent comfort and nice features the product it was a complete dissapointment. The mouse was was very jerky and never smoooth no matter what I tried and the keyboard kept losing connection/dropping out. I tried to get it rite for a little over a week. I also called Logitech and tried to get support and all they would do was send me another one. So I just returned it to the store and got a new one instead. Same problem even after the exchange.
HIS IceQ X Turbo X
Pros: Solid Performance Still under $250 15c Cooler
Cons: No Active display port adapter included
Overall Review: This card it allot better then the original HD 6870!! I saw an increase in frame rates from between 5-10 FPS per game I tested. I was very surprised to see the card actually running cooler after being overclocked!! I would spend the extra money for this card over the original.
Great Card
Pros: • Solid Performance • $200 Price Point • Tons of Features • Supports up to 5 Displays
Cons: • No Mini Display port Adaptor Included
Overall Review: This card really surprised me in the end. I offer great performance for the price. When I am looking to buy a new card I usually read a few reviews online and it always boils down to the cost and the performance for me. This card really targets the average gamer that wants to get real performance without spending next month’s rent money to get it.
HIS Multiview II
Pros: See Review
Cons: See Review
Overall Review: HIS Multi-View II Display Adapter Introduction Typically, if you want to run multiple monitors on your desktop PC, you need to invest in a video card with at least two monitor outputs; or, if you want to run more than two, you need to buy a high end video card and run SLI or Crossfire. If you have a laptop, you are pretty limited to your main display and one optional out-put, in most cases. The HIS Muiltiview II is a low cost solution to this issue. Packaging/Contents: In typical HIS style, the Multiview II is very neatly packaged and well branded. Inside the box you receive the following: • The Multiview II Adaptor • Mini USB to standard USB cable • Dvi to VGA Adaptor • Carrying Pouch • Manual • Software Disk Features and Specifications: • Dual DisplayLink DL2+ Decompression Engines • High definition resolution up to 2048x1152 including Full HD (1080p) • High performance (DDR) memory interface • Comprehensive operating system support including full support for Windows
Nice Keyboard
Pros: This is a great keyboard. The backlight is a nice touch. It is simple and rite to the point.
Cons: The only real con is that the clips for the wrist rest are flimsy. However as long as you are gentle when you move it around is is just fine when its staionary
