Most Critical Review

Good but not great and quality control is sub-par

BenQ GL2760H 27" Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz VGA DVI HDMI Low Blue Light Flicker-Free Backlit LED LCD Monitor
BenQ GL2760H 27" Full HD 1920 x 1080 60Hz VGA DVI HDMI Low Blue Light Flicker-Free Backlit LED LCD Monitor

Pros: Colors are good, not great. Resolution is fair, not crisp. Monitor controls are not user friendly nor is there "fine" tuning control over the color, contrast and brightness. You end up with generally good vs. bad - nothing real brilliant, sharp or bright. But this is not a high end monitor and in fact the price ($179) was very low for a 27" monitor.

Cons: First monitor was returned because could not get monitor to work with HDMI connection. The replacement monitor two months in developed a dime sized white spot on light background. The spot is not noticeable at all on a dark background. I have given it some time to see if it disappears or gets worse - it has stayed the same and is not a big deal. It's too late to return replacement monitor to NEWEGG but might see if BENQ customer service is any good. The stand post is not sturdy and it's questionable whether it is strong enough for the weight of the monitor. You should be concerned it you have a floor or desk that easily transmits vibrations. I also discovered a couple months in that the monitor has a very fine scratch on it but obviously it is barely noticeable and rarely affects viewing.

Overall Review: Bottom line, the quality and quality control is sub-par compared to the other dozen monitors I've owned over the last 15+ years. I don't expect this monitor to last long but time will tell. If I had to to over again, I would not buy this monitor again and therefore cannot recommend. Sadly, I think if you spend twice as much, I doubt you would get twice the quality.
