Pros: Don't even bother with this joke of an OS. Only thing worse was WinME but in my opinion its a good competition.

Cons: To the IT guy saying it only has a bad rep: Working at F(r)ys for 10+ years doesn't mean you know anything about computers. Networking is RIDICULOUS in Vista. You haven't found compatibility issues because you haven't tried to do anything with it. Installing Google Desktop and Yahoo messenger aren't going to be the ones that have huge issues. Gaming is worse. WAAAAAAAAAAY worse. Period. Should I justify your rant on multi-cpu gaming? If a game supports Multi-CPU than thats just it. Having Vista vs. XP is not going to make a lick of difference. (besides the general sluggishness of Vista.) You can get a variant of DreameScenes on XP as well. Just not built in. But your a "IT" guy so you knew that. The RIDICULOUS UAC in Vista is...well...ridiculous. And when you turn it off you just become even more of a sitting duck than when you have it on. Theres a reason people bash on Vista. I seem to have run out of room to bash on Vista. :(

Overall Review: Windows 7 is out. Get it. Its Lovely.
