HIS IceQ Boost Clock Radeon HD 7950 DirectX 11 H795QC3G2M 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Stays cool, no issues with overheating (No overclock on mine). Performance levels are decent, playing CS:GO at right around 65-70 FPS on high graphics, on low it plays at right around 150 FPS. Overall good card when working correctly. I do not believe it is currently being made anymore however.

Cons: HIS customer service...awful, first unit was a DOA, second unit quit working after 2 months, 3rd unit, also quit working after 2 months, I now have a 4th, yes a 4th GPU in my system. HIS made me send it back 3 times, costing me $40 in shipping everytime to a third party company that handles all their return and RMA services. The company is based out of Hong Kong i believe, so any email chat service is near impossible as they reply in the middle of the night (U.S. Eastern). Didn't seem to want to help at all, and very hard to get a working unit. Would not buy from HIS again and would not recommend to anyone.

Other Thoughts: Good when working, but not worth the hassle. Go with a trusted brand such as ASUS, MSI, or something.

Pros: Good card, runs very cool with little to no sound. Able to run high fps in games with no problem and comes with iTurbo.

Cons: Big, it covered up 2 other slots on my MB. It broke after about 3 months and HIS has terrible service. They have been no help at all. The card started to cut out while playing games and running stressful programs. My monitor couldn't get a read from the card. I did multiple tests with the card and without the card in and it was the GPU that was faulty. Lexy Pacific, which is the RMA provider is terrible. I sent it in over a month ago and haven't even heard from them. Its coming up on the 30 business days that they ask you to wait but this is a bit ridiculous. No way I am going to suggest HIS to other people or ever buy another product. Its worth the extra money to buy a good experienced and well reviewed brand.

Other Thoughts: Spend your money else where. Has good prices but bad service. I give it 1 egg due to the service I have received from the company and that it broke within 3 months of owning it.

Pros: Card worked great for the first 4 months, then the trouble happened. Anytime the card moved to high power consumption (monitored by iturbo) the display would crash. Im talking it would lose signal completely, go pink and white with vertical lines, go black, go grey, loop the sound over and over. The only thing i could do was hold in the power button to shut it off which is not a good thing.

Before the problems worked great. Ran all my games on high or max graphics with excellent frame rate, easy to install and iturbo is a great tuner.

Cons: First off, tech support. Absolutely awful, took them days to answer my ticket that i submitted. When they finally did they told me to do things that i had already done and told them that i had done in my ticket.

Graphics card caused display to crash after 4 months. Was not anything else, took out the card and could run everything fine.

Card failed OCCT stress test with multiple connections (hdmi and vga to dvi converter) to make sure it was not a faulty wire.

Overall pretty unhappy with HIS product.

Other Thoughts: Consider a company with better tech support.
