Most Favorable Review

Another quality ASUS product.

ASUS 24X DVD Burner - Bulk 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS

Pros: Quiet, stable and rock solid performance. If it's mounted properly (i.e: anchored in and with grommets, not mounted with tooless rails) in a suitable case, the vibration is nonexistent.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: To those who seem to be incapable of understanding the concept of OEM; You're fortunate to even get a driver disc. OEM =/= retail. Complaining that it came without packaging/cables/screws is like complaining that you didn't get the seven-topping special when you clicked on the huge flashing, "CHEESE ONLY!" banner.

Most Critical Review

NOT USB 3.0 speeds.

PQI U822V 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model 6822-032GR3XXX
PQI U822V 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model 6822-032GR3XXX

Pros: Decent 32 GB USB for the $18.99 price. Nice, solid construction.

Cons: Definitely NOT USB 3.0-rated speeds. Slightly faster than my ancient 32 GB Patriot XT Xporter. No difference in transfer rate between a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0.

Overall Review: Know that though this item is listed as a USB 3.0, you will NOT be getting ANY sort of performance boost over a USB 2.0 device.

Don't bother.

Cyborg R.A.T.7 Infection CCB437080020/04/1 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse
Cyborg R.A.T.7 Infection CCB437080020/04/1 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse

Pros: Excellent feel, great ergonomics, very comfortable*. Very responsive & tactile clicks*, great tracking* and the 'sniper button'. (*See Cons)

Cons: I had this mouse for 5 months. From the day I received it, there were issues. One of the backs (which just happened to be the one I preferred) was loose and rattled, even after I manually tightened the retaining spring. I also experienced the occasional dropout of horizontal movement that most owners of this mouse report. Both of which I was able to work around. Today, the left-click just failed. The switch collapsed and the button is now mushy and unusable. I contacted MadCatz for support and was informed that they have no cross-ship options or pre-ship replacement with a credit card hold.

Overall Review: When one drops $100+ on a vital piece of computing equipment, they tend to expect a better turnaround than 4-6 weeks and some form of option for a quicker replacement. They also expect said equipment to function out of the box and for more than 5 months. I'd hoped MadCatz's acquisition of Saitek and subsequently; the Cyborg line had classed up the joint. Unfortunately, it seems the opposite is true and MadCatz has dragged the once great Saitek down to their abhorrent level of 'quality' that they've been infamous for for years.

Great monitor, Lousy company

BenQ 24" 120 Hz TN Height & Pivot Adjustable 120Hz 3D-Ready LCD Monitor 5ms (2ms GTG) 1920 x 1080 D-sub / DVI-DL(Dual Link) / HDMI x 2 / DP 1.2 / Headphone Jack XL Series XL2420T

Pros: The monitor itself is awesome. I'd just be echoing the positive reviews here if I were to write anyrhing in regards to the display itself.

Cons: I'd be very wary of dealing with BenQ. They are dishonest and disreputabile. When I initially went to purchase this display off of their site, I used a 10% off code. The order was processed successfully as verified by my credit card company. The next day, I receive a cancellation notice, due to the card number 'being input incorrectly' (if it had been entered wrong, it wouldn't have processed, which it had). Amazingly, I used the same Chrome autofill of CC information on NewEgg 10 minutes later, and my RAM is already shipped.

Overall Review: So, I shrugged and went to place my order again. The 10% code was no longer valid. I was accused of entering my CC information incorrectly and met with nothing but hostility. I asked about the code, but they stated that no code had expired recently. When I asked for them to apply the code I used then, they stated that it had expired yesterday and they couldn't. Eventually, I pried a 5% off code out of them. If their sales team is this dishonest, I shudder to think what I might experience if ever I have a problem. BenQ isn't a member of ResellerRatings, and now you know why.

Excellent card / Unthinkable service

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 01G-P3-1370-TR
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 01G-P3-1370-TR

Pros: The card itself has an amazing price/performance ratio. As everyone (who's even vaguely competent) has stated, the card will take anything you throw at it and spit it back out in gloriously butter-smooth framerates at high resolution and details.

Cons: Why NewEgg would send me a returned card on a non-open box item, I have no idea. As a loyal customer of ten years who's spent tens of thousands of dollars here, I just can't fathom it. It was blatantly intentional, as the outer plastic had been resealed, but the EVGA seal was obviously ripped open.

Overall Review: Admittedly, this is the first time in uncounted orders that I've run into this, and wasn't worth returning the fully-functional card for. ...but just the fact that this practice is occurring is disconcerting.

Fanbois are only those who can't afford both.

PS3 Consoles
PS3 Consoles

Pros: The PS3 is a phenomenal machine. The Blu-Ray playback is breathtaking, the hardware is stable and some of the best titles ever written are PS3 exclusives. For those who have pre-existing PS2 libraries, this SKU is the only way to go. Full, hardware-based, backwards compatibility. It actually contains the Emotion Engine CPU from the PS2.

Cons: As the above 'fellow esteemed commenter' mentioned, it does get a bit loud at times, but the 'competition' is far louder in both disc reads and fan noise.

Overall Review: I own all three current-gen consoles. I've had one of these launch PS3s since day one. It's been solid as a rock. Conversely, I've had two complete hardware failures of my other high-powered console, which gets about a third of the playtime. I much enjoy all three platforms, I just keep going back to the PS3 most often. It has Lemmings in HD, what else could you want?
