This review is from: MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: I bought this board for a build I put together for my kids, and coupled it with an Athlon II x3 455. This board is surprisingly fast. Very fast POST (keep hitting the delete key when you first turn it on or you might miss the quick flash screen before it boots windows). Very well laid out, easy setup. It actually boots faster than my Gigabyte GA-990FX UD3.
Cons: No SLI if you're an Nvidia user, but that's already known with this chipset.
Other Thoughts: You really can't go wrong with this board for a budget build. It's half the price of my Gigabyte board and in some respects I like this board better. I plan on upgrading the CPU soon, but for now it runs good!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great card, smaller form factor than most. Plays most games on highest or next to highest graphics settings. I played Tomb Raider on Ultra and averaged 50 fps. It's quiet, after long periods of gaming the fans can be heard a little bit but nowhere near intolerable.
Cons: The drivers are buggy. I can't play Crysis 2 on DX11 fullscreen. StarCraft 2 will flash my monitor as if someone unplugged and plugged back in my cable, I can only play FC3 on medium with DX11. Can't play Deus Ex: HR in DX9, DX11 is sometimes choppy even with settings lowered.
Other Thoughts: I gave the card 4 starts because the card itself is fine, but took an egg off for drivers. The games I mentioned are the only ones I have had trouble with. Tomb Raider 2013, Crysis 3, RAGE, Both Dead Island games, Singularity, Alien vs Predator (just to name a few) have all worked flawlessly. Hopefully driver updates in the future will correct the problems with the other games. Having said that, every other game I've played runs great without fail!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: brother DCP Series DCP-7060D MFC / All-In-One Up to 24 ppm Monochrome Laser Printer
Pros: Great 3 in 1 option!
This thing is a beast! Scans documents in 3 seconds! Prints extremely fast and great quality. Easy to operate. Installation was quick and painless. Toner replacements are not very expensive.
Cons: Bulky! Make sure you have plenty of room on your desk or space that you plan to set it up, though it's not heavy at all.
Starter cartridge only prints 700 pages.
Other Thoughts: I started homeschooling my children and therefore need a fast, dependable, quality printer to print their work on. This thing fits the bill very well. It's fast, dependable (no jams, random error messages, etc.). All 3 of them can print and it prints in the order of jobs received, and does it fast! Love this printer!READ FULL REVIEW
