Can't beat it for the price
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Of course I got the latest drivers from ATI before I tried to run any games and such. For under $100 you simply can't beat it. Running Bioshock on max graphics settings and it's smooth as silk. It blows the Xbox 360 out of the water! Also plays Crysis on medium settings with no glitches!
Cons: none
Overall Review: If you're on a budget, this card can't be beat for the money. Yea you'll read a lot of tech stuff about how the 8800GT will produce this many pixels faster and blah blah blah, but for the gamer on a budget, this card will do what you need it to, and does it well.
Does the job, could've been better though.
Pros: Pushes good airflow, case stays below 30c. Came with right screws.
Cons: The 2 main gripes I have is that they are not quiet at all. One fan I had when mounted as an intake rattled, as if it were hitting something, even though there was nothing obstructing it. Remounted it as an exhaust, and it stopped rattling. So I left it as an exhaust, but still annoying. The rest don't do that, but they still aren't quiet. The second is they have extremely short cables. I have an NZXT Source 530 and trying to route them for cable management and hook them into my fan hub was impossible for 2 of the fans, luckily my mobo had enough sysfan jumpers.
Overall Review: They do the job, and I suppose at this price you can't expect too much. But still, they do cool well, just wish they were more quiet and user friendly about it.
Great 1080p GPU
Pros: (Now) Cheap Runs games at 1080p at 60fps or higher no problem Good size, should fit in most cases comfortably Runs cool and quiet Installed and setup in less than 30 minutes (GPU Swap)
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: If you're looking for a great 1080P (1440P for older games), this is the card to get. This was a breeze to install and setup. The size is perfect for fitting in most cases, aside from some mini-itx cases. Installed this in my son's PC. He can now play Valheim at 1080p/60+ at max settings, whereas he couldn't running an older Vega56. Runs cool and quiet, no coil whine. Only had it a couple of weeks, so we'll see about longevity, but so far, it's been a great GPU.
I'm absolutely loving this CPU!!
Pros: Very fast! I'm a gamer and I do music production, and this CPU does both phenomenally. My games are smooth as butter (Far Cry 4, Shadow of Mordor, and Wow Doom!!!) and my music production can handle tons more workload than my old FX 8350 (renders about 3 times as fast also). I couldn't be happier with this CPU.
Cons: Only 2 cons I can think of is you could technically get the 1700 and overclock it to match the 1800x, but you can also do that with this CPU if you want (I'm running at a steady 4ghz). However, this is good to get if you don't want to do any, or much overclocking with the higher TDP rating. The only other one is that the platform is still very brand new and there have been some growing pains, but most of them have already been fixed at this point, but this is mainly on the part of the motherboard.
Overall Review: All in all a great CPU. Since I've become more adept at overclocking, I may have wanted to go with the 1700 and overclock to save $70 but all in all I'm happy with this CPU. I was an early adopter (pre-order) so I wasn't sure what to expect at the time and wanted the higher base clock. If you're into overclocking, go for the 1700, otherwise, get this one!
Great product with minor irritation
Pros: Fast Solid, Relatively easy to setup once you get over the aggravating setup limitation.
Cons: Even though there's a LAN port on the side, it can't be used to access the administrative options, it can only be done via wifi. The initial setup wasn't working by pressing the was button my router so I thought it may have been a signal issue. Tried plugging it into the networks went to the Web pages and it told me I couldn't set it up on a LAN connection. This is so stupid. Knocked an egg off for this. The LAN port is only for connecting end users ( PC, Consoles Streaming Device, to the wifi.
Overall Review: Overall it's a great product once you get passed the fact you can only set it up over wifi. It's fast, Stable great range. It's a little big, but not an issue for me.
My goto drive!
Pros: This is my goto drive for my builds. Been using them for years, and I have yet to have one fail on me. Best bang for the buck, reliable, and not too shabby in the speed department.
Cons: It's obviously not the fastest drive, though admittedly, I didn't see much difference between the blue and the black versions. but price/performance, can't be beat.
Overall Review: I've been installing these for a long time now in all of my builds and client builds. They're fast enough, plenty of storage (for average to above average users), and cheap. Every system in my house has one installed.
